RETURNS RELATING TO COUNTV SURVEYORS ( IRELAND). " 11 COUNTY OF KILKENNY. Names of County Surveyor and Assistants. Salary. Observations. County Surveyor, Peter Burtchaell. Assistant Surveyors : James Kelly, Daniel Hickey, Patrick Codey, and Robert Holden. Salary per year, for seven years previous to Act 24 & 25 Vict. c. 43, 300 /. per year. Salary of each per year, for seven years previous to above Act, 501. His salary has been raised by Grand Jury to 400 I. per year, with liberty to engage in private practice, 24 25 Vict. c. 43. Their salaries have been ad- vanced by Grand Jury to 70 /. per year, pursuant to above- mentioned Act. 1 William Hayden, Secretary. COUNTY OF THE CITY OF KILKENNY. RETURN showing the Name of the COUNTY SURVEYOR of this City, and of the SALARY paid for the Seven Years previous to the Act 24 & 25 Yict. c. 43. County Surveyor— Peter Burtchaell, Esq.; yearly salary, 25 I. No Assistant, but towards defraying the expense of an office and clerk, an annual allow- ance is presented of 5 I. The Act 24 & 25 Yict. c. 43, not applying to this City, no advance of salary was claimed or made thereunder. As to the Surveyor's engaging in private practice, there is no Grand Jury Order in this City prohibiting him from doing so. P. J. Dillon, Secretary. 31 March 1863. KING'S COUNTY. RETURN showing the Names of the COUNTY SURVEYOR and his ASSISTANTS, with their respective SALARIES, for the Seven Years previous to the Act 24 & 25 Vict, c. 43. John Hill, County Surveyor; salary, 300 I. per annum, for the seven years. Thomas Dooly, Assistant; salary, 50 I. per annum, for the seven years. Daniel Gibbs Assistant; 50 I. per annum, for four years. William Browne, Assistant; 50 I. per annum, for three years. Thomas Dyro, Assistant; 50 I. per annum, for seven years. The salary of John Hill, County Surveyor, was advanced from 3001, to 400 I. per annum. The salary of Thomas Dooly, Assistant, from 50 I. to 60 I. per annum.
