H. H. Tizard, jun., Town Clerk. WHITBY. THE number of electors registered in this borough for the year 1836 was 458, and for the year 1837, 464; and their qualification was solely in respect of being 10/. house- holders. There was no contest for this borough at the late general election. 16 December 1837. Robert Preston, Returning Officer. WHITEHAVEN. THF. number of electors registered in this borough for 1836 was 476, and for the present year 463 ; and the whole of them were qualified in respect of property occupied within this borough. The last general election for this borough was not contested, and therefore no polling took place. 16 December 1837. Edwin Holwell Heywood, Returning Officer. WIGAN. IN September 1836 there were 498 electors in respect of premises of 10/. annual value and 41 burgesses registered ; and in September 1837 there were 513 electors in respect of premises of 10/. annual value and 38 burgesses registered. At the last general election 473 persons voted, namely, 436 in respect of premises of 10/. annual value and 37 burgesses. 16 December 1837. Thomas Cook, Mayor and Returning Officer. WILTON.
