10 100 ELECTORS REGISTERED, AND VOTERS POLLED, HORSHAM. Number of Electors Registered. 1836: In respect of property occupied within the parish of Horsham, by virtue of the Act 2 Will. 4, c. 45 In respect of rights reserved by the said Act ------ Total - - - - 1837 In respect of property occupied within the parish of Horsham, by virtue of the Act 2 Will. 4, c. 45 - - In respect of rights reserved by the said Act ------ Total - - - - Number of Electors who Polled at the late General Election. In respect of property occupied within the parish of Horsham, by virtue of the Act 2 Will. 4, c. 45 In respect of rights reserved by the said Act ______ Total 15 December 1837. W. Stedman, Returning Officer. H UDDERSFIELD. THE number of registered voters in 1836 was 800, and in 1837, 826; all of whom are entitled to vote in right of a 10/. occupation, under the 27th section of the Act 2 Will 4, c. 45, Huddersfield being a newly constituted borough, and not a corporate town. The number of electors who actually polled in this borough at the late general election was 624, viz. for W. R. C. Stansfield, esq., 323; and for Richard Oastler, esq., 301. 16 December 1837. R. T. Rolinson, Returning Officer. HULL. THE number of electors standing on the register for this borough for the year 1836- 7 was 4,222, of whom 1,596 were entitled to vote as freemen, and the remaining 2,626 were entitled to vote as occupying householders within the borough; but in a great number of cases the same elector stands on this register as a freeman and also as being the occupier of property in some, and in many cases in two or more, wards of the borough ; so that the number of persons on this register who could really vote would be considerably short of the numerical total of 4,222 ; but I have no means of identifying the parties, as the register does not afford it me. The number of voters who actually polled at the late election for this borough was 2,990 ; but I am unable to classify them according to their qualifications, as the poll- book does not record in what right they voted. 21 December 1837. Samuel Lightfoot, Under- sheriff. HUNTINGDON AND GODMANCHESTER. In 1836 the number of electors registered was - - - - Freemen - £. 10 householders - - In 1837 the number of electors registered was - Freemen - - £. 10 householders - The borough was not contested at the last general election. 18 December 1837. W. Ward, Mayor.
