FROME. THE number of electors registered in the borough of Frome for the year 1836 was 291, of whom 244 actually polled at the general election in 1837; and the number registered for 1837 is 310. The qualification of all these electors is given under the 27th section of the Reform Act, 2 Will. 4, c. 45, and all of them are either inhabitant householders within the borough, or possessing other property therein entitling them to vote under that section. Frome was not a borough until the passing of that statute, and contains no freemen or other persons qualified to vote, except under the section referred to. 20 Dec. 1837.
