AT THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION. fp 37 Number of Electors who actually Polled in the County of Worcester at the late General Election. There was no contest for the Western Division. The Number of Electors who actually Polled at the contest for the Eastern Division of the said County was 4,771 ; viz. Freeholders - -- -- -- - Copyholders -------- Leaseholders for lives ------ Ditto for years ------ Grantees of rentcharges, annuities, & c. - Mortgagees and trustees in possession - Occupying tenants ------- Total - - - 26 December 1837. James Best, Deputy Clerk of the Peace. COUNTY OF YORK. EAST RIDING. Number of Electors Registered. Freehold - Copyhold - Leasehold - Fifty pounds rent as occupier - Number of Electors who Polled at the late General Election. Freehold - Copyhold - Leasehold - Fifty pounds rent as occupier Beverley, 10 February 1838. Henry John Shepherd, Deputy Clerk of the Peace. NORTH RIDING. Number of Electors Registered. At the late general election in this year there was no contest for the North Riding of this county. The last contest for the " riding was at the general election in 1835, but the poll- books" used on that occasion having been soon after the election deposited with the clerk of the peace, in pursuance of the 10 Anne, c. 23, s. 5, I have no means of referring to them to obtain the number and qualifications of persons who voted at that election.
