/> 33 BELONGING TO THE CHURCH IN IRELAND. 9 N ® 6.— Diocese of KILMORE: DIOCESE. Diocese of Kilmore Number of Acres belonging to the Church. Acres: 40,444. Number of Acres forming Glebe. • Acres: 12,177. Number of Acres uncultivated. Acres : < 5,917- I have taken these Returns as far as I have surveys, from them ;• some of the surveys are very old, and would not agree with the present state of the land, so much being improved ; others I have from the tenants. The glebes are taken from the clergy and my visitation books ; I have no means of distinguishing cultivated from uncultivated, but as returned bog and waste, or mountain. The Bishop's lands, and the Dean's lands are let on leases for tweny- one years, at very low rent, many years ago ( except their demesnes;) these leases are generally renewed to the tenants every year. There is, besides, two farms of considerable extent, belonging to the See, of which I have no survey; viz. Ballinaglera, in the parish of Innismegrath, and Rosinver, in the parish of Rosinver, both in the county Leitrim. I have written to the tenants; in the first I am answered they have no survey ; in the last case I got no answer. George De- la- Poer Kilmore. DUBLIN PROVINCE. N° 7.- Dioceses of DUBLIN AND GLANDELAGH: County. Dublin Westmeath Wicklow Cork Limerick Nc of Acres, i Arable and Pasture. A. R. R. p. * 100 1 5 + 47 ~~ - * These are given to eight parishes in the county of Dublin. t These are given to two parishes in the county of Wicklow. This Return is made upon the most accurate information which I could obtain from the documents handed over to me by the agent of the last Archbishop of Dublin. There are two leases, one of Mr. Hugo, and the other Mr. Charles Cobbe, not included in this Return, because I was not able to ascertain the quantity they contain, though I used every means in my power to discover it; however, I apprehend the greater part of them are bogs and mountains.
