io STATEMENT OF THE NUMBER OF ACRES N° 9 — Dioceses of FERNS AND LEIGHLIN— continued. Diocese of FERNS— continued. 12.— Parishes of Clone, Ferns, and Kilbride : GLEBE LANDS belonging to the same,— A. R. p. At Clone, a Glebe of - - - 2109- - cultivated. At Ferns - D° - •• - - 29 2 3 - - cultivated. 50 2 12 The Glebe of Ferns is held by a deed, granted in the year 1778 by the then Bishop to the Incumbent, and pays a yearly rent of £. 15 to the Bishop of Ferns. A glebe house has been built on this Glebe. 5th March 1824. Mark Charters, Incumbent. 13 Parish of Kilcommon : No Glebe. A true copy, which I attest, P. Preston, Registrar diocese of Ferns. 14.— Parishes of Whitechurch and Kilmakea : ( United by Act of Council, dated 9th October 1723.) THERE are, of Glebe land, belonging to this Union, as by the Down Survey, as follows ; viz. At Whitechurch - - 2 acres. At Kilmakea - - 14 acres. These are, as by a late Survey, reduced as follows : At Whitechurch - IA. 3R. 6p. At Kilmakea - 12A. OK. 38P. On the Glebe at Kilmakea, stands the glebe house of the Union, erected by the present Incumbent, who indulges the clerk and sexton with the smaller Glebe at Whitechurch, for their accommodation. March 15, 1824. Tho' Handwith, Clerk, Incumbent. 15.— Parish of Rossdroit: THE Incumbent of the Parish of Rossdroit does not hold any lands under the See of Leighlin and Ferns. He had obtained a Glebe of 20 acres from the late Stephen Ram, Esq. which he rents at £. 1.2. 9. per acre, and whereon he has built a glebe house, being the second he has established in the diocese. 5th March 1824. William Hinson, Incumbent, 16.— Parish of St. Peter's, Templendigan : IN this Parish there are ten acres of Glebe, all of which are capable of cultivation. Templendigan, near New Ross, Mm M Incumbent. March 16th, 1824. 6 ' 17.— Parish of Wexford: THERE are eight acres one rood of Glebe land in the Union of Wexford, detached ; and an old glebe house and two or three small tenements in the town of Wexford, the property of the Incumbent. , T Wexford, Charles Strong, Rector. March 19th, 1824. 6' 18.— Parish of Kilnemanagh : THERE are 27 acres of cultivated Glebe land in this Parish. March 18th, 1824. Richd Waddy Elgee, Minister. 19.— Parish of St. Mary's, New Ross : THERE are no Glebe lands ; but in the town of Ross there are a few scattered lots of building ground, called Glebes. _ _ NtWo1| 0SS' Th. March 8th, 1824. 5 ' 20.— Parish of Kilcormuck : THERE is but one Glebe in the Parish of Kilcormuck on which I have built; it contains twenty- two acres and a half, and twenty- two perches, and there is no part of it uncultivated. 171 h * March ° i8 2 4.
