Return of parish cess, collected in the above parish, from ~ - r Easter 1822 to Easter 1823 .... - / ' 17- 9- Dublin, " 1 James Leedorn, , , May 10th, 1843./ George Holmes, j Churchwardens. ST. MICHAEL'S PARISH. ACCOUNT of the Parish Cess of St. Michael's Parish, Dublin, for the Year endin: 25th March 1823. Amount of sum applotted and assessed for said year, at the rate of 2 s. \% d. to the minister's shilling - - From the very great poverty of the parish, and the dilapidated state of most of the houses causing great arrears, what has been collected of the above sum did not prove sufficient, and there still remains due to sundry parish creditors, for parish uses, a sum ° f - £. 35.2.1. ( signed, by order) Val. Duggan, Vestry Clerk. PARISH OF ST. NICHOLAS, WITHOUT. A RETURN of Taxes collected in the Parish of St. Nicholas without the Walls, Dublin, so far as comes under the control of the Churchwardens. Parish cess applotted once in each year for repairs of church, paying parish officers, paying expenses incurred by fire engines, & c. & c. the rate of applotment for the year ending ist August 1821, was one shilling and three- pence to the minister's shilling, and amounted to the sum of ----------- £. 237. 5. 3. But owing to the great number of shut- up and of insolvent houses, the sum collected amounted only to - -- -- -.--- £. 152, 15. 8. 13th May 1823. Richard Atkinson, j Churchwardens. Joseph, Brown, J PARISH OF ST. NICHOLAS, WITHIN. AMOUNT of Parish Cess for one Year, from the 25th March 1822 to the 25th March 1823. The sum applotted for said year, one hundred and nineteen pounds, fourteen shillings, and three- pence; at the rate of two shillings and three- pence to the shilling minister's money. This statement is furnished by order of the House of Commons, dated 14th April 1823.
