ON PETITIONS RELATING TO LIMERICK TAXATION. j45 ABSTRACT, N° 7, of the Accounts of the Commissioners for improving the Parish of St. Michael, in the Liberties of the City of Limerick, commencing June 5th, 1814, and ending June 16th, 1815. INCOME : Amount of one year's assessment, commencing March 25, 1814, and ending March 25, 1815 - - Amount of the arrears due March 25, 1814, as per Abstract, No. 6 ... Received from Messrs. Maunsell and Kennedy, bankers, a small balance due of them - Received from the mayor a penalty inflicted by him on an inhabitant - EXPENDITURE: Paid the treasurers of the city jail, house of industry and fever hospital, one year's contribution, due February 1,1815 Paid interest on assignments --------- Paid for lighting the parish lamps, for the half- year ending Sept. 18, 1814 Paid wages to watchmen, sub- constables, and overseer of the watch - - - - Paid for sweeping and cleansing the parish, and all expenses attendant thereon - Paid rent of the watch- house, fire and candle- light for ditto, and for repairs thereof Paid Messrs. Maunsell and Kennedy, bankers, in full, for principal and interest - Paid for repairing the foot- ways and carriage- ways in streets already made Paid for making a half street in Newenham- street ------- Paid on account of new sewers made in George- street, & c. - - Paid for watch coats for the watchmen and constables ------ Paid for cleaning and repairing sewers --------- Paid for stationery and account books --------- Paid T. Mackey & J. Curtis, on account of balances due to them for sundry works - Paid for advertising and other printing --------- Paid the collector on account of poundage, at 2£ per cent on the rates collected, and on account of gratuities given him for diligence in collecting the two years rates, ending March 25, 1814 - -- -- -- -- -- Paid J. Barry, Sec. the balance due to him as per Abstract, No. 6 Paid ditto one year's salary, ending March 9, 1815 ------ Paid T. Owens, surveyor, balance of his salary to March 27, 1815 - - Paid for sundry incidental charges, not reduceable to any general head - Total Disbursements - Amount of allowances on uninhabited houses, and of insolvencies, for the year ending March 25,1815 Amount of arrears remaining due March 25, 1815 Poundage at 2$ percent to the collector, on 3,469/. 19 s. 9</. amount of rates collected Balance in the hands of J.
