Has apartments in the office, wilh an allowance of coals and candles. These officers are al- lowed 15s. a day for tra- velling expenses, for 30 day s in the year, and 30 s. per annum forstationery; also 2 d• in the pound on money remitted by them to the office. OBSERVATIONS. The whole of these offi- cers, with the exception of the four last named riding surveyors, were ap- pointed to supply vacan- cies, by death and resig- nations. The latter persons were added to the esta- blishment, to protect the revenue against itinerant hawkers, trading without licences. Clerks and others, whose Services have been DISCONTINUED. SITUATION. NO Clerks or others have been ADMITTED to any Appointments whatever in the Department of the Auditor of the Exchequer, since the ist January 1816: neither have the Services of any Clerks or other Officers been DISCONTINUED during the same period.
