"> Return, showing the number of Persons who have at any time since the 17th of May last, been in confinement, in the different Houses of Correction of the County of Hereford, for Offences against the Game Laws; viz. When Committed. 1816. Mav 4 3 5 September 26 - - October 1 - - — 28 - - 1S17. januarv 7 J3 Persons Names. John Greenly William Williams - David Williams Benjamin Williams William Watkins - John Rollings Richard Bound William Probert When Discharged. August 4, 1816. — 5- October 15. January 28, 1817. For 3 Months each. Total number of Persons in confinement - 8. March 1S, 1817. B. Fallowes, Clerk of the Peace of the County of Hereford. 18.— HERTFORD. An Account of the number of Persons who have at any time since the 17th of May last, been in confinement in the different Houses of Correction in the County of Hertford, for Offences against the Game Laws; viz. At Hertford - At Hitchin - At Great Berkhamstead To which may be added, at the\ Goal at Hertford - - J 10 1 14 6 20 Hertford, : ist March 1817. B. W. Rooke. 19.— HUNTINGDON. 10th October 1816.— Committed to Bridewell for 3 months, unless the penalty be sooner paid; Joseph Webb, of Godmanchester, labourer, convicted of keeping and using on a Sunday, for killing game, a lurcher dog; mitigated penalty £. 10 ; and being unable to pay the same, he was committed for three months. 7th December 1816.— Committed to Bridewell for 3 months; James Wills, of Colmeworth Bedfordshire, penalty, £. 5 for each offence, together £. 20, which being unable to pay, he was committed. ] 6th November 1816.— Conviction of George Crow, of St. Neots, stage coachman, and fined of. 20, for having in his custody unlawfully, on 30th September 1816, 3 hares and 1 partridge. Huntingdon, Wm. Margetts, 19th March 1817. Dy Clerk of Peace for Huntingdonshire. 20.— KENT. An Account of the number of Persons who have at any time since the 17th May 1816, been in confinement in the different Houses of Correction of the County of Kent, for Offences against the Game Laws;— viz. C3 ' Maidstone Dartford - St. Augustines Total - - - 5 3 3 11 N. B— The Return of the Keeper of St. Augustines, includes those committed to the 14th January 1817 inclusive. Kent, J. F.
