There is not now, nor has any Person been in confinement in the Gaol of this City for any Offence against the Game Laws, since the 17th day of May last. On the 3d day of June last, a person of the name of John Porter was convicted in the penalty of of. 5. for fishing in a pond in an inclosed field, without the consent of the owner, and refusing to pay the penalty was committed to the House of Correction for three months, agreeable to the statute, but was discharged 011 payment of the penalty, at the end of the first week.
