I. Counties.] F O R O F F E N C E S A G A I N S T THE GAME LAWS. 7 28.— NOTTINGHAM. There arc now confined in the Common Gaol for this County ( the only one of which the Sheriff has cognizance) for Offences against the Game Laws, Two Persons ; and that there have not been any more confined for the like Offence since the 17th of May last. It is not usual to commit Persons for Offences against the Game Laws to the County Prison, • but to the House of Correction for this County at Southwell. Sheriff's Office, Thurland Hall, Willm Jamson, Nottingham, 25th February 1817. Under Sheriff. 29.— OXFORD. On the 17th of May last, there were 12 Persons in custody for Offences against the Game Laws; since which, 40 more have been committed, and of which 24 are now in custody. Henley, Th&- CooPer" 28U1 February 1817. 30.— PEMBROKE. There are not at present, nor have there been at any time since the 17th May last, any Persons in confinement in the County Gaol for Pembrokeshire, for Offences against the Game Laws. haverfordwest l, o ' High Sheriff for the County of Pembroke. 1 st iUarcli 1017. 0 J 31.— RADNOR. No Person whatever is now, or has at any time since the 17th of May last been, in con- finement in the Gaol of this County, for any Offence against the Game Laws. Presteign, Penry Powell, March 5th, 1817. Sheriff of the County of Radnor. 32.— SALOP. A List of Persons now in confinement, and those that have been committed to the Gaol at Shrewsbury, for the County of Salop, since the 17th of May last, under the Game Laws. John Price — brought to Gaol 29th July 1815, for a Debt of 27/. recovered against him in the Court of King's Bench. Edward Berry - having a net in his possession, for the purpose of destroying Game in a close in the parish of Kinlet - Sentenced to be transported for 7 years, at the Quarter Sessions, 14th January 1817. George Winwood - committed 11th Dec. 1810 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. Thomas Maddox - committed 16th Dec. 1816 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. Edward Rogers - - committed 23d Dec. 1816 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. John Sayce - - - committed 7th Feb. 1817 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. William Mellins - committed 10th Feb. 1817 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. James Lloyd - - committed 10th Feb. 1817 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. George Weaver - - committed 21st Feb. 1817 - sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. Shrewsbury, Sir Thomas John Tyrwhitt Jones, Bart. 26th February 1817. Sheriff. 33.— SOMERSET. There are at present Ten Persons in confinement in the several Gaols of this County, for Offences against the Game Laws; and Eight others have been discharged for similar Offences since the 17th of May last. w ,, Edmund Broderip, .. , wells> Under Sheriff of Somerset. 1' coruary 27, 1017.
