Did you acquaint Sir John Lees with the mode you had adopted of making fuch Account in the l'ubfequent years ?— I do not recollect my having done fo, but I prefume he was acquainted with the mode adopted for that purpofe. In what manner did you make up the Account you returned in each fuch year?— After having afcertained the quantity of Papers circulated in each year, I charged a profit 011 each Paper at the fame rate as was produced by the average of the circulation in the three years ending 5th January 1801.
