B.— The number of Roman Catholics in this Diocese bear so small a proportion to that of the Protestants, that, in several Parishes, the latter are more than ten to one. In one of these Parishes, it was found, on an enume- ration, that amidst more than 3,000 Families, there was but one of Roman Catholics. ^ Benefices. Unions. 23- I. CHURCHES. JL- 75- Pcr N. B. The houfe is fo much out of repair, it fliould be rebuilt. A Church, in good repair. A Glebe Houfe, on a glebe of 40 Englifh acres, about 1 mile lrom the church. The Diocefe of DROMORE confifts of twenty- three Benefice. 0, one of which is a Union; on thefe Benefices thirteen Incumbents aflually refide; of the ten who do not refide, feven have no Glebe Houfes, but refide fufiiciently near to their refpedtive Benefices to difcharge the duties without incon- venience, and three are abfent with permilfion. There are twenty- four Churches, thirteen Glebe Houfes, and fixteen Glebes. There is no Benefice without a Chuich; but there are ten without Glebe Houfes, and feven without Glebes. 7 » . GENERAL
