The only mode of remedying the evil of non- residence in this pa- rish, is to procure a glebe. As soon as the church shall be finished, the Incumbent of this Pa rish must be compelled to build, to remove, hereafter, the evil of non- residence. Revd Jas Irwin; not resident ;| An Episcopal Union, lives at the school of Raphoe, of; 21st July 1791. It would which he is master; has cure of the expedient to make souls. Duties discharged by a 1 this Union permanent. Curate. Revd Roger Forde; not resi- dent, by permission, having neither church nor glebe ; has cure of souls ; duties discharged by a neighbouring Curate. N. B. The best mode of re- medying the evil of non- residence in this and the following N°, will be to unite them by Act of Council, and to build a church and house in Church Town. Revd Step. Ratcliffe ; not resi- dent; lives on his other Benefice in this Diocese ; has cure of souls ; duties discharged by a neighbour- ing Curate. Revd Thos Mears ; has cure of souls, and resides sufficiently near to do the duties. The only means of remedying the evil of non- residence here, would be to procure a glebe ; all the glebes are in the possession of the Impropriator. N. B. The duties of Kilbixy are discharged by the Rector of Portlemon, for which he is allowed a house and 20 acres of land, by Lord Sunderlin. An Episcopal Union.
