This Ex? minant faith,- He is a Brazier in the City of thiblin, and extensively employed in making ana repairing Stills; that fince the laft DiRillery Aft took eflfeft, he has made very couiiderable Alterations in the Worms of Stills of 500 Gallons, by adding to the upper Part about Seven Feet, of from Twenty- two to Twenty- feven In- ches Bore, for the Purpofe of giving Room for the Expanfion of the Strain 5 and to the lower End about Fifty Feet, of about Four Inches Bore, for the Purpofe of more rapidly cooling the Spirit. He thinks the Spirit is moltly qondenfed in the firft Three or Four Rounds of the Worm. The Worms of Stihs of 1,500 Gallons have been moftly made New, and site about Six hundred Feet long j thofe of Stills of 500 Gallons are about Four hundred Feet long. Peter Humphrys. J. S. Rochfort. He is a Brazier, and much employed in making Stills. Large Worms enable the Diftiller to carry on the Rapidity of his Work without Lofs oi Produce, as he can ufe a hotter Fire and boil fafter. In confequence of the Rapidity of Work that is now required from the Diftiller, the Worm, in the Circumference of its Circle, is confiderably enlarged, but the Bore remains the fame. The Worms now ufed are nearly Four Times as large as they were previous to the laft Diftillery Aft. He is now making for a Still of 1,500 Gallons, a Worn* which is Twenty Feet in Diameter, and nearly Eight hundred Feet in length. John Nowlan. J. S. Rochfort. Fredk Geale.
