CONFIDENTIAL THE POLICE Supplement B GAZETTE No. 6. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1926. VOL. XIII. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R. ' b. 1896, 5ft. Tin., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, scars Failed to notify place of residence on release. Officer proving service of notice, P. S. Allett, C. R. O. on forehead. A shoemaker ; native of Halifax. Pre. con. of cyclestealing and housebreaking. Known to police at WIGAN, NOTTINGHAM and BARNSLEY. May be dealt with where found if there is evidence of an offence against the Prevention of Crimes Act in such place. Apprehensions. 28.- Thomas Stratton, C. R. O. No. 304- 05, Case 29.— Walter Kavanagh, C. R. O. No. 1678- 01, No. 391 ( Vol. I.), is in custody on Y, charged as Case No. 139 ( Vol. XII.), is in custody on W, George Wilkin with sacrilege. charged as George Grey with housebreaking. 6 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT C.
