CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 12. FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 1925. VOL XII. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Soc. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. SOUTHAMPTON ( BORO.). 65.—* George William Goulden, aliases William Golding, George William Golden, Patrick Francis O'Brien, Patrick O'Gorman, Patrick Riley and William Goulde, C. R. O. No. 186- 19, b. 1896, 5ft. 3in., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, scar rt. side of nose, rt. thumb and first rt. finger, mole 1. ear, fourth 1. finger been injured. A clerk ; native of Southampton. Sentenced at Winchester Ass., 11- 11- 22, to 3 vrs. pen. for larceny and receiving. Liberated on licence, 11- 2- 25, to Southampton. Failed to report change of address. Pre. con. of false pretences, larceny and a minor offence. Known to police at SOUTHAMPTON, CREWE, ANDOVER, PORTSMOUTH, DUBLIN, ROM- SEY, FAREHAM and on L. For portrait, etc., see Case No. 355, Supplement A ( Vol. VI.). Arrest is also sought for larceny, vide Case No. 5, Police Gazette, 16- 3- 25. Irif. to the C. C., Southampton. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. PRISON COMMISSION FOR SCOTLAND. EDINBURGH. 66.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— Charles McDonald, C. R. O. No. 4146- 25, S. C. R. No. 181- 22, b. 1901, 5ft. 3in., c. fair, h. and e. brown. Sentenced at Dundee Sheriff Ct., 22- 11- 22, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft ( 2 charges). Liberated on licence, 8- 8- 24, from Edinburgh Prison, Borstal Section. Absconded from his approved residence at Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, 7- 3- 25, after committing theft by housebreaking. 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, March 20, 1925. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution— continued. Pre. con. of theft and theft by housebreaking. above mentioned offence, vide Case No. 3, Police Gazette, 13- 3- 25. Known to police at MONTROSE, FORFAR and DUNDEE. Inf. to the Prison Commissioners for Scotland, His arrest is also sought at Dumfries for the Edinburgh. Apprehensions. 67.— Hugh Gallocher, C. R. O. No. 24848- 211, Case hampton, charged as Hugh McCole, with cycle- No. 329 ( Vol. XI.), is in custody at Wolver- stealing.
