METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT. 130. - Criminal Record Office. - For escaping from Oxford Mental Hospital, 11th inst.— Edward Thurley, alias Thurlow, C. R. O. No. S/ 161741, h. 1843, 5ft. 2in., c. fresh, h. and e. grey ; dress, hospital clothes, marked L. H. Native of London. Pre. con. of attempted larceny and minor offences on P and W. Not to be arrested after 24th inst. * Inf. to above office. 131.— A Division.— For stealing ( trick), 30s.— Arthur H. Menday, alias Holman Arthur Henry Menday, C. R. O. No. S/ 138139, b. 1885, 5ft. 9£ in", stout build, c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, clean shaven ; dress, dk. suit and overcoat, bowler hat. An accountant; native of Southampton. Pre. eon. of fraud, larceny and forgery on A and J. Inf. to C. R. O. GLOUCESTERSHIRE. _ U32.— Bristol fl( City).— For stealing ( servant) during May, 1924, jewellery— Ernest Wheatley, b. 1881, 5ft. 9in., thick build, c. sallow, h. dk., clean shaven, mole rt. cheek, square jawed ; dress, brown suit, grey overcoat, fawn Trilby hat, brown shoes. Was employed as warehouseman by firm of hardware merchants, was handed quantity of jewellery consisting of metal watches, imitation pearls, etc., to forward to South Africa, failed to do so and oonverted the articles to his own use. Portrait will appear next issue. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Bristol. LANCASHIRE. 133.— Fleetwood ( Co.).— For stealing ( servant), 14th inst., £ 11.— Wilfred Harper, b. about 1908, 5ft. 5 to 7in., slim build, o. pale, h. bushy, clean shaven; dress, grey nap overcoat, brownish Trilby hat, blue woollen muffler. Native of Rochdale. Was employed as page boy at hydro at St. Anne's. Has • expressed his intention of prooeedingkto London. Inf. to Supt. Crapper, Fleetwood. 134.— Liverpool ( City).— For** housebreaking, 29thfor5J30th ult.— John Campbell, b. 1901, 6ft,, well built, c. and h. dk., e. ( large) dk. brown, clean shaven, high forehead, dk. eyebrows, thick nose and lips, good teeth, full face. A tailor. Broke into his mother- in- law's house where his wife, from whom he is separated, lives. Inf. to the C. C., Liverpool. 135.— Manchester ( City).— For failing to report. Samuel Walton Kay, C. R. O. No. 1602- 04, Cafje No. 364, Supplement A ( Vol. VI.), b. 1867, 5ft. 11 Jin., c. fresh, h. grey ( bald top), e. blue ( cast 1.). A journalist; native of Radcliffe. Pre. con. of fraud, forgery, bigamv and forging and uttering security at WARWICK, ULVER- STON, LIVERPOOL, LONG ASHTON and C. O. Inf. to the C. C., Manchester. OXFORDSHIRE. £ 136. Chipping Norton ( Co.).— For obtaining £ 8 10s. by false pretences, at Churchill, 13th inst. - George Frederick Ricketts, b. 1889, 5ft. 6fin., proportionate build ; dress, dk. grey suit, dk. grey overcoat, cap, collar, black tie, white muffler, brown boots and leggings. Visited his mother at Chiselhampton, 24th ult., stole cheque book on Barclay's Bank, Abingdon, made out a cheque payable to G. F. Ricketts, payable to M. Penson, and induced a publican to cash it. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Hedges, Chipping Norton. WARWICKSHIRE. 137.— Warwick ( Co.),— For absconding from Weston Training School, 12t, h ult.— Thomas Burgess, b. 1909, 5ft„ c. fresh, h. black, e. blue, scars on head, prominent teeth ; dress, dk. grey suit, It. grey cap, striped collar and shirt, boots. Inf. to the D. C. C., Warwick.
