Initials on case M. P., have been obliterated so as to read M. I.— By A Man, who gave name of J. P. Jones, b. about 1896, 5ft. 6 or 7in., slim build, c. fair, h. dk., thin features, clean shaven ; dress, brown suit, It. Trilby hat, soft collar, brown shoes. Left without paying his bill. No. S/ 88159, was, at Salford Hundred Sess., 15- 4- 24, bound over in £ 5 for 6 mos. See Case No. 26, 28- 1- 24. 84.— Robert Samuel Jones, C. R. O. No. 4897- 19, was sentenced at Warrington ( Co.) Pol. Ct., 16- 4- 24, to 3 and 1 mos. impt. ( conc.), for larceny and being in possession of revolver without certificate. R. O. No. S/ 27659, Cases Nos. 14, Supplement A ( Vol. VI.), and 10, 14- 4- 24, b. 1807, 5ft. 2in., c. pale, h. grey ( dyed). A nurse ; native of Bombay, India. Pre. con. of fraud and attempted fraud at NEWRY, DUBLIN, L1SCARD, ENNISKILLEN, BRADFORD ( Frances Swift), MARYBOROUGH ( Mary Walsh) and on A and F. Obtained lodgings, stated she was employed as nurse by the Education Authori- ties to attend school children for eye and teeth complaints. Remained until 22nd inst., when she left the house stating she was going to the Post Office to draw some money, and failed to return. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C... Derby. ESSEX. 104.— Braintree ( Co.).— For obtaining food and lodging by false pretences, at Witham, between 14th and 18th ult.— A Man, b. 1874 to 1879, 5ft. 7 or 8in., medium build, c. sallow, h. dk. ( turning grey), short clipped moustache, tattooed hands and arms ; dress, grey overcoat, brown coat, Trilby hat, shoes. Stated he was an inspector of boot factories and would be in district 18 mos. Since leaving a gold bar brooch, lin. long, ivy leaves embossed thereon, has been missed. Appears identical with Joe Wallace, Case No. 67, 7- 4- 24. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Joyce, Braintree. GLAMORGANSHIRE. 105.— Neath ( Co.).— For deserting his ship at Port Talbot, 15th inst., after negotiating advance note.— E. J. Rawlings, b. about 1892, about 5ft. 10in., e. blue, impediment in speech, protruding lips ; dress, brown suit, white muffler, brown boots ( new). Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Evans, Neath. GLOUCEST ERSHIRE . 106.— Glouces er ( Co.).— For absconding from Union with articles of clothing.— William Edwards, b. 1877, 5ft. 5in., h. dk. brown, clean shaven, long features, slightly bow- legged ; dress, It. grey suit, dk. cap, soft collar, tie. Absconded, 22nd inst., probably accompanied by a Mr. and Mrs. Donovan. Warrant issued. Inf. to the D. C. C., Gloucester. LANCASHIRE. 107.— Prescot ( Co.).— For stealing property, Case No. 142, 23- 4- 24, also lady's 9ct. curb bracelet, with safety chain and padlock attached ; Terri- torial War medal, silver gilt, Captain J. Tennant, S. L. R., printed round edge, mounted on bar for ribbon.— Man, b. 1901 or 1902, 5ft. 8 or 9in., medium build, c. sallow, h. It. brown, clean shaven ; dress, grey jacket and cap, respectable appear- ance. Gent's gold cat's- eye ring recovered. Inf. to Acting Supt. Peters, Prescot. NORFOLK. 108.— North Walsham ( Co.).— For stealing ( bailee) at Aylsham, 9th inst., lady's fawn mackintosh, maker's name inside, slit pockets ; pair lady's black fur gloves, lined brown kid. Sims Reeve, b. 1897, 5ft. 9in., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. grey, small lump on chin ; dress, brown tweed suit, purple and white shirt and collar, navv tie with red and yellow stripes, bowler hat. Is also wanted for stealing, 9th inst., lady's wrist watch, on strap, silver plated, rather large, black figures ( 12 in red). Appears identical with Sims Reeves, Case No. 6 current issue. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Carter, North Walsham. STAFFORDSHIRE. 109.— Wednesbury ( Co.).— For obtaining £ 1 10b. by false pretences, 8th inst., at Tipton.— Austin Sinclair, aliases Albert Bevans, Harold Stevens, Marsh, Smith, Edwin Darragh, James Ryan, Charles Green, Lee, J. A bookbinder ; native of Washington. Pre. con. of larceny, fraud and a minor offence at DONCASTER' ( John Wilford), BARNSLEY, WAKEFIELD, LEEDS, STAFFORD, ROTHER- HAM, STONE, LANCASTER ( John Herbert Brown), MANSFIELD ( William Nelson), SHEFFIELD ( Frederick Stevens), HARlOW, HUDDERSFIELD ( Austin Sinclair) and CARDIFF ( William Jenkins Russell). Called on loser, stated he was the son of a relative who had emigrated to America, and that he had traced her through an advertisement in the News of the World, also that he had brought with him a quantity of American notes for her. Obtained the above amount stating he wished to change the American money at the bank and required the English notes for a guide as he did not understand English money.
