Stayed at hotel, and induced the book- keeper to cash cheque for £ 17, giving two National Savings certificates each for £ 8 as extra security. It was later found that the cheque was from stolen book, and that the Savings certificates were obtained from Bradford Post Office by means of a similar cheque, and are now declared by Post Office authorities to be worthless.
