Chesterfield ( Boro.).— For stealing ( trick, ringing the changes), several cases, on 6th inst.— Albert Cyril Gallaway, alias Albert Allen, C. R. O. No. 6675- 20, b. 1885, 5ft. 7 Jin., c. fresh, h. and e. brown, scar bridge of nose and 1. jaw, females> butterfly, star, snake, rt., female 1. arm. A tailor ; native of Middlesbrough. HEREFORDSHIRE. 10— Hereford ( City).— For stealing, 20th inst., from motor car, fish frail, 2 ledgers, cheque book on Barclay's Bank, containing about 25 unused cheques, several invoices, tin of carbide, and about £ 10. - James Evans, b. 1883 to 1888, 5ft. 5 or 6in., c. ruddy, ™ , blue, h. sandy, clean shaven, prominent nose, has gold tooth believed rt. ; dress, navy blue suit, brown mixture cap, rubber collar, blue overalls, boots. A carpenter ; believed native of Treorchy. Inf. to the C. C., Hereford. DORSETSHIRE. 7.- Sherborne ( Co.).— For stealing £ 200, 18th inst.— Amy Harris, b. about 1893, 5ft. 3 or 4in., c. fresh, h. and e. brown ; dress, brown knitted dress, long fui coat, wine coloured hat, ( fan shaped at back), boots, wore gold ring ( set rubies), wedding and other rings, 2 gold bracelets ( 1 with sovereign, 1 with half sovereign, attached). Stole above amount from her husband, a showman. Accom- panied by William Lock ( not wanted), b. 1888 to 1893, 5ft. 8in., h. It. brown, clean shaven ; dress, pin stripe suit. A showman. Obtained lodgings, 24th inst., stated she had obtained work at St. Albans and left the following day. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Inf. to tho C. C., Liverpool. \ 15.— Manchester ( City).— David Ross, Case No. 19, 17- 10- 23 ' s identical with Alfred Holden, C. R. O. Falsely represented he required the money to obtain negative of group of nursos, who had been photo- graphod previous day at Royal Infirmary. Warrant issued. Inf. to the G. ( bobbed) black, e. brown, 1st joint 2nd I. finger deformed ; dress, tight- fitting brown costume, brown hat with pink trimmings anel tassel 1. side, grey stockings, shoes. Native of Boddington. Pre. con. of fraud and larceny at CHELTENHAM ( Hetty Isabel Straw- ford), GLOUCESTER, STOURBRIDGE ( Hetty Strawford) and BIRMINGHAM ( Hettie Straw- ford). Obtained employment as waitress by means of false reference. Had access to workroom and dress'ng room, was left on premises, and on the housekeeper's return on 14- 10- 23, had absconeled with above pnq> erty. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Birmingham.
