Called at a farmer's house, stated he was a Mr. Potts, builder, of Rosehill, and had forgotten his cheque book, and induced loser to sell him a cheque from her cheque book. This he filled in for £ 2 18s., payable to John Walter Stokoe and signed it A. Hall, Contractor, and endorsed ' John Walter Stokoe. Went to a nurseryman's gardens, bought some flowers, etc., for 5s., tendered the chequo in payment which was however refused, but which he induced the landlady of an adjoining public house to cash. Native of Hull. Was employed as a vanman, handed the money to give to a customer, failed to do so and absconded. May be accompanied by Darrel Dale, b. 1902, 5ft., thin build, c. fresh, clean shaven ; wore soft collar and knitted tie, who saw Green receive the money and left the City with him. Warrant issued. Enters shops, requests to be allowed to inspect the telephone, and as opportunity offers steals money, etc. In one instance stole 2 wallets from clothing in offices.
