CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 27. FRIDAY, JULY 6, 1928. VOL. X. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Thoee bearing names marked * are Licfence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; hut it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say VI4I Sec. 5, Sub- See. 1 7 < fe 21 Viet , Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonablt sxcusr why he does not produce the same,. ( conc.), for larceny ( 3 cases). Liberated on licence, 20- 4- 23, into the M. P. D. Failed to make his monthly report at Crawford Place Pol. Sta. ( L.), 20- 6- 23. Liberated on second licence ( which expires 28- 8- 23), 22- 6- 23, to Sheffield. Sentenced at Edinburgh High Ct., 31- 8- 17, to 7 yrs. pen. ( remanet of former sentence), for theft by housebreaking ( 2 eases), theft from dwelling- house and theft. Liberated on licence ( which expires 22- 5- 25). 20- 6- 23, to Glasgow. Failed to notify change of residence at Glasgow. Failed to notify his change of address, 23- 6- 23, after having obtained the loan of a cycle. Pre. con. of larceny, cyclestealing, fraud, stealing motor cycle and minor offences. Known to police at STOCKTON, DARLING- TON, RICHMOND ( YORKS.), WHITCHURCH, LONGTOWN, BLACKPOOL and DUMFRIES. O. 156.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— Henry Titheridge, alias J. Titheridge, C. R. O. No. 1463- 18, PRISON COMMISSION FOR SCOTLAND. EDINBURGH. 157.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— Isaac b. 1902, 5ft. 3in., c. dark, h. brown, e. grey, scar under chin. A glazier ; native of Pontypridd. Sentenced at Somerset Sess., 5- 1- 21, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I.. for housebreaking. Liberated on licence, 24- 1 1- 22, to the care of the B. A. On discharge returned to his home at Upper Parkstone, Dorsetshire. Left there in January, 1923, and went to Southampton where he obtained work. Has now left the work and disappeared. In May he visited a relative at Hampstead ( L.), and had expressed his intention of going to Australia. Pre. con. of officebreaking, shopbreaking and a minor offence. Known to police at POOLE, BLANDFORD and BRIDGWATER. If arrested a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch him. , The licence will expire on 4- 1- 25, after which date he must not on any account be arrested by the Police. Grozier, C. R. O. No. 13218- 19, b. 1903, 5ft. 5in., c. fresh, h. fair, e. blue, proportionate build. Sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Ct., 5- 5- 20, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft of newspapers. Liberated on licence, 21- 6- 23. Absconded from his approved address in Dumfries- shire, 23- 6- 23. Pre. con. of theft. Known to police at EDINBURGH and GLASGOW. I. for theft. Liberated on licence, 2- 6- 23. Absconded from his approved address. Pre. con. of cyclestealing and attempted house- breaking. Known to police at GLASGOW and GREENOCK. No. 2447- 00, Case No. 19 ( Vol. IX.), was sentenced at C. C. C., 27- 6- 23, to 3 yrs. pen., for forgery and uttering ( 2 cases) and false pretences ( worthless cheque). 160.— Henry Fletcher, C. R. O. No. 482- 04, Case No. 77 ( Vol. X.), is in custody on Y and remanded at North London Pol. Ct., charged with being a suspected person. Apprehensions Sought. 161.— Frederick Drew, C. R. O.
