CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 24. FRIDAY. JUNE 15. 1923. VOL. X. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for tailing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate 01 Polic a Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a chnrge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter lias to say vu( « tiec. 6, Sub- Sec I 7 & 21 Vict , Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonablt • xcuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question r- ght be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. C. R. O. 133.— For failing to comply with the conditions of her licence, which has been revoked.— Nellie Ashdown, aliases Rose Palmer and Rose Parmer, C. R. O. No. 1714- 20, b. 1900, 5ft. 3in., c. fresh, h. and e. brown. A factory hand ; native of Londou. Sentenced at Surrey Sess., 19- 10- 20, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I., for being an incorrigible rogue. Liberated on licence, 5- 4- 23, to the care of the B. A. Absconded from her place of employment. Pre. con. of larceny and a minor offence. Known to police at SUTTON COLDFIF. LD and on F and W. If arrested a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch her. The licence will expire 18- 1C- 24, after which date she must not on any account be arrested by the police. PRISON COMMISSION FOR SCOTLAND. EDINBURGH , 134.— For failing to comply with the conditions of her licence, which has been revoked.- Jessie Jones, alias Jessie Smith, C. R. O No 9415- 23, S. C. R. Absconded from her approved address, 5- 6- 23. Also wanted on warrant for larceny, see P. G. 11 - 6- 23, Case No. 10. Pre. con. of theft and fraud. Known to police at TAIN, INVERNESS and GLASGOW. Inf. to Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. Apprehensions. 135.— William Fletcher. C. R. O. No. 75- 04, Case 136.— James Sheridan, C. R. O.
