Appearance of mechanic. Called on cycledealer, said he was in employment of Murkett Bros., and that his lorry had broken down ( false). Asked loser to loan him a bicycle and loser, believing his statement, loaned him an old Army B. S. A. single speed bicycle, collapsible frame, lugs on both bars, B. S. A. on chain wheel, half back mudguard missing, front pull- up brake, 22in. frame, 26 x 1 Jin. wheels, frame painted blue, straight handle- bars ( rusty), black grips, 4 wire saddle, cheap bell, front lamp bracket, which he failed to return. Also calls on tradesmen, tells them he has traded with them or that they have done work for him, and attempts to obtain money from them, saying his motor lorry or car has broken down. Warrant issued.
