All communications for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE and Supplements A and B should be addressed to THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE OF THE METROPOLIS, NEW SCOTLAND YARD, S. W. 1. Communications for insertion in the Supplements C ( Aliens) and the Deserters List should be addressed as directed thereon. HORWOOD, The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. SPECIAL NOTICE METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT. 1- Criminal Record Office.— Special attention is called to the activities of Two Men— David and James Jones, who have been travelling the country for some time past soliciting subscriptions on behalf of a fund known as the" JONES CHARITABLE FUND " for the alleged resuscitation of a legal action, in which permission to appeal has already been refused by the House of Lords. These men have been travelling from district to district on motor cycles, calling on farmers, dairymen, etc., distributing literature in the form of appeals for contributions to this fund and telling pitiful stories of their ejectment from certain farms— different counties given— in . an unjust manner. It is believed, however, that they are not acting with good intent and are merely living on the subscriptions collected. David Jones, who has been seen and cautioned, has been travelling the West of England and states that his brother James is still collecting in the Midlands. If seen, the latter should be cautioned that he must discontinue this practice, otherwise criminal proceedings may follow. Should the warning be ignored and further activities come to light, the Director of Public Prosecutions should be communicated with. APPREHENSIONS SOUGHT.
