Jewish appearance ; well dressed. Native of Clodowa, Poland. Was managing director of clothing company, which went into voluntary liquidation, a receiver being appointed. Stole goods and absconded 10th ult. In possession of Identity Book No. 274480, issued 31- 12- 18, at Leman Street ( L.). Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Liverpool. 2.- Manchester ( City).— Adverting to Case No. 8, 23- 2- 23. John Holt. Amended inf.— height should read 5ft., and not as previously shewn. Warrant issued. Tnf. to the C. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. 3.— Northampton ( Boro.).— For stealing ( lodg- ings) gold watch and metal chain ( recovered), 27th ult.— Jack Robinson, alias Jackson, b. 1888 to 1893, 5ft. 2 or 3in., medium build, c. very dk., h. dk. browii, clean shaven, 2 front teeth missing upper jaw, North country accent; dress, dk. brown tweed suit, dk. grey trilby hat, butterfly collar, black tie, boots. Engaged lodgings 26th ult., stated he was a dispenser and had come from Watford to take up situation at local branch of Boots, Chemists ( false). Left house following morning stating he was going to fetch his luggage and after he had gone the property was missed and later found pledged. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Northampton. It. brown, long nose, good teeth ( believed false), clean shaven, speaks with drawl, believed Welsh accent, swinging gait; dress, black suit, It. fawn trilby hat, blue overcoat with half belt at back, soft collar, tie, pale blue knitted silk scarf, boots ( nearly new). Stated he represented the Daily Express and would require lodgings for a month. Left 27th ult. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Wells, Chippenham. 7.— Chippenham ( Co.).— For obtaining food, lodgings and money by false pretences ( worthless cheques).— A Man who gave name of Captain George Renwick, b. 1888 to 1893, 5ft. llin., well built, h. fair, small fair or sandy moustache, silver plate in top of head ; dress, navy blue suit, navy blue nap overcoat, bowler hat, or grey plaid knickerbocker suit, in possession of brown overcoat. Stated he had served in R. F. C. Stayed at hotel from 20th to 25th ult., stated he was in the district for hunting. Paid his bill with cheque on National Bank of South Africa, London Wall, E. C., and received change ; also cashed cheque for £ 5 on same bank. The first cheque has since been ¥ eturned marked No account. Booked to Paddington Station ( L.), 25th ult. Warrant issued.
