CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 51. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1922. VOL. IX. Convicts on Licence, persons nnder Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked • are Licence Holders, and should prxiuce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder it not required to carry hit hcence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the d - faulter has to « ay tide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 7 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or thow tome tetuonablc excute why hedoet not produce the same. N. B— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Apprehensions. 261.— Frederick Thomas Reynolds, C. R. O. No. 180- 16, Case No. 76 ( Vol. IX.), is remanded at Weymouth until 22- 12- 22, charged as William George King with larceny. 262.— Reginald Ebsworth, C. R. O. No. 1774- 11, Case No. 213 ( Vol. IX.), is in custody on R and remanded at Woolwich Pol. Ct. ( L.), till 22- 12- 22,- charged as Reginald Brereton with obtaining a cheque book by false pretences. 263.— Frederick Edward Edwards, C. R. O. No. 10- 18, Case No. 226 ( Vol. IX.), is remanded at Leeds until 26- 12- 22, charged as Herbert Wilson with attempted housebreaking. 264.— Arthur William Lucas, C. R. O. No. 1436- 10, Case No. 256 ( Vol. IX.), is in custody at Aldershot, charged as Arthur Williams with larceny. Memorandum. George Marney, C. R. O. No. 844- 08, Case No. 110 ( Vol. IX.). Warrant issued. Original notice should be amended accordingly.
