Called on loser and entered into negotiations for exchanging houses, but loser did not wish to exchange. Called again later, stated she was. 5s. short of the amount required to settle a dressmaker's account. Induced loser to hand over this amount saying she woidd return it in 5 minutes. Warrant issued. Turnout was delivered to accused and should have been returned or paid for on 12th inst., but this was not done and it was later ascertained that property had been sold for £ 4 to a hawker from whom pony was recovered. Accused occasionally engages in hawking fruit but mostly attends horse sales, auctions, etc. He stays at common lodging houses and associates with horsedealers. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C.
