Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer : but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable ercusc why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R. Pre. con. of false pretences and a minor offence. Known to police at GLASGOW, STIRLING, PERTH, BRADFORD, CHESTER and on E. For portrait, etc., see Case No. 405, Supplement A ( Vol. VI.). May be dealt with wbere found if there is evidence of an offence against the Prevention of Crimes Act in such place. Apprehensions. 70, Margaret Naysmith, C. R. O. No. 1505- 16, Case No. 127 ( Vol. VI.), was sentenced as Margaret Moore, at Glasgow Western Pol. Ct., 28- 3- 22, to 30 days impt., for indecent behaviour. 71, Harold Turner, C. R. O. No. 11218- 14, Case No. 60 ( Vol. VIII.). is in custody at Uckfield, charged as Allan Neale with cyclestealing. 72 — Charles Henry Beale, C. R. O. No. 646- 06, Case No. 35 ( Vol. IX.), is in custody at Monmouth, charged with burglary, sacrilege, housebreaking and failing to report.
