CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 15. FRIDAY, APRIL 14, 1922. VOL. IX. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus # are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer : but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Absconded from his approved address, 24- 1- 22. Pre. con. of cyclestealing and a minor offence. Known to police on H and M. If arrested, a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch him. The licence will expire 19- 1- 24, after which c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, woman's head rt., date he must not on any account be arrested by sailor, ship ai d flag 1. forearm, ring 2nd rt. finger, the police. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. C. R. O. 65.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— Edward Condon, C. R. O. No. 11162- 19, b. 1904, 5ft. 3£ in., horseshoe and horse's head back 1. hand. A painter ; native of London. Sentenced at C. L. S., 20- 1- 20, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I., for larceny. Liberated on licence, 3- 10- 21, to the care of the Borstal Association. 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, March 14, 1922. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution— continuei. C. R. O. 66.— For failing to comply with the conditions No. 1781- 17, b. 1899, 5ft. 5jin., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, bunch of flowers. I. L. E. G. rt., anchor and heart 1. forearm. A carman ; native of London. Sentenced at C. L. S., 20- 5- 19, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I., for larceny and receiving. Liberated on second licence, 30- 8- 21, to the care of the Borstal Association. Absconded from his approved address. Pre. con. of larceny and receiving. Known to police on A, H and J. If arrested, a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch him. The licence will expire 19- 5- 23, after which of his licence which has been revoked.— William date he must not on any account be arrested George Baigent, alias William Baigent, C. R. O. by the police. Apprehensions. 67.- George Gordon, C. R. O. No. 2303- 00, Case No. 189 ( Vol. III.), is in custody at Hadding- ton, East Lothian, charged with larceny. 68.— William Beavan, C. R. O. No. 311- 02, Case No. 312 ( Vol. VIII.), is in custody on E Division, charged as George Walker, with being a suspected person.
