Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. Tho first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 6, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. No. 1307- 14, b. 1895, 5ft. 7in., c. pale, h. and e. brown, scar 2nd rt. finger, 1. forearm, 1st, 3rd and 4th 1. fingers, scroll, Sally Dooley, flag, heart, crossed hands, bust of hand and between thumb and 1st 1. finger. A labourer ; native of Beccles. Sentenced at Lincoln Ass., 30- 10- 19, to 3 yrs. pen. for burglary. Liberated on licence, 27- 1- 22, to Peterborough. Failed to notify change of address. Pre. con. of housebreaking, sacrilege, burglary and minor offences. Known to police at BURY ST. EDMUNDS, LONG SUTTON, HOLBEACH, KIRTON, SKIRBECK and SPALDING. Inf. to the C. C., Peterborough. female and Pollie rt., heart, crossed hands and True Love Alice 1. forearm. A sailor; native of Liverpool. Sentenced at Liverpool ( City) Sess., 8- 10- 19, to 3 yrs. pen. for cyclestealing ( 3 cases). Liberated on licence 13- 1- 22 to Gravesend. Failed to report his change of address at Graves- end 30- 1- 22. Pre. con. of larceny, eyclestealing, shopbreaking and false pretences. Known to police at LIVERPOOL, ALDER- SHOT and BOOTLE. May be dealt with where found if there is evidence of an offence against the Prevention of Crimes Act in such place. 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLeMENT B. Friday, February 10, 1922. Apprehensions. 20.— George Herbert Harris, C. R. O. No. 839- 03, Case No. 15 ( Vol. VII.), is remanded at Bromley P. Sess. ( L.), until 14- 2- 22, charged as John Harris, with housebreaking. 30.— George Edward Emarton, C. R. O. No. 5938- 19, Case No. 269 ( Vol. VIII.), is in custody at Truro, awaiting escort. Memorandum. Alfred Henry Douglas, C. R. O. No. 500- 03, Case No. 218 ( Vol. VIII.). Warrant issued. Original notice should be amended accordingly. Printed am!
