CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 30. FRIDAY, JULY 29, 3921. Vol. VIII. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licenoe, it should be ascertained what the defaulter haa to say, vide Sec. 6, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 < k 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. OJin., c. fresh, h. black, e. hazel. A dock labourer ; native of Glasgow. Sentenced at Glasgow High Ct., 22- 12- 1914. to 3 yrs. pen. and 5 yrs. p. d., for larceny ( person) and being a h. c. Liberated on p. d. licence, 23- 9- 1920, to Edinburgh. Absconded from his approved address at Airdrie, Lanarkshire. Pre. con. of theft by housebreaking, robbery, assault by stabbing, assault on police and minor offences. Known to pobce at GLASGOW and DUNDEE. ••' Inf. to the Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. PRISON COMMISSION FOB SCOTLAND. EDINBURGH. 203.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— Campbell, Alfred, C. R. O. No. 13763- 21, b. 1902, 4ft. 9| in., h. brown, e. blue. Sentenced at Greenock Sheriff a., 20- 2- 1919, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft and theft by housebreaking. Liberated on licence from Saughton B. I., Edinburgh, 6- 7- 1921, to Drymen, Dumbartonshire. Absconded from his approved address, 17- 7- 1921. Pre. con. of theft. Known to police at DUMBARTON and GREENOCK. EDINBURGH. 204.— For failing to comply with the conditions of her licence, which has been revoked.— Suther- land, Helen Main, alias Helen Mein Sutherland, C. R. O. No. 15339- 1918, b. 1900, 5ft,, c. fresh, h. dk., e. brown. Sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Ct., 1- 8- 191S, to 2 yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft from a dwelling house. Liberated from Jessiefield B. I., 22- 3- 1921, to Callander, Perthshire. Absconded from her approved address, 20- 7- 1921. Inf. to the Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. Known to police at SELKIRK. PERTH and EDINBURGH. Apprehensions. 205.— George Minton, C. R. O. No. 930- 02, Case No. 52 ( Vol. V.) is in custody at Watford, charged with false pretences. 206.— Robert Wilson, C. R. O. No. 3421- 02, Case No. 34 ( Vol. VIII.) is remanded at Stroud till 29- 7- 1921, charged as Richard Wilkins, with ware- housebreaking. 207.— Arthur Harrison, C. R. O. No. 428- 1905, Case No. 84 ( Vol. VIII.). Not now wanted. 208.— Frederick Teale, C. R. O. No. 1004- 1912, Case No. 144 ( Vol. VIII.) was sentenced at Ports- mouth Sess., 14- 7- 1921, to 3 yrs. pen., for larceny. 209.— Percy Davies, C. R. O. No. 154- 1916, Case No. 174 ( Vol. VIII.). Not now wanted. 210.— Thomas Wilson, C. R. O. No. 3152- 02, Case No. 186 ( Vol. VIII.), is in custody at Church ( Co.), charged as Frederick William Raynor, with false pretences.
