Method used in present case :— Accused called at the house of injured party wearing 3 medals, said he was an ex- soldier on his way to the Military Hospital for treatment for wounds in the leg ( false) and that he was unable to proceed further. He arrived in Lichfield 4th inst. by car from Whitchurch on the pretence of visiting friends ; made an excuse to leave the driver and did not return, thus leaving the driver without payment. Inf. to the C. C., Ramsgate. LANCASHIRE. 30.— Reedley ( Co.).— Between 31st March and 6th inst., by warehousebreaking at Cliviger.— 3 new and 2 old pit lamps, makers W. E. Peal & Co., Ltd., Swinton, Lanes., thereon, each one of the new lamps bears one of following numbers, one 280, one 725, one 740, and have brass band at bottom ' of shields, 2 old lamps have all black shields ; pair locking pliers. Was employed as indoor servant and was entrusted with the above amount to pay a bill, which he failed to do.
