Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Acts, and the Prisoners ( Temporary Discharge for 111 Health) Act, 1913. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer; but it should oe distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Liberated on licence 2.7.1914 into the Met. Pol. Dist. Officer proving service of notice, P. S. Dolby,. 8 « T. Failed to report at Hounslow Pol. Station, T Divn., Met, Pol., 2nd inst. Known to Police at CASTLE EDEN, HEX- HAM, JEDBURGH, ROTHBURY, SHREWS- BURY, and DERBY. Information to above Office. SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, September 89, 1914. 271. Criminal Record Office. * KATE HILL, alias Lily Street, C. R. O. No. 2031- 10, age 25, ht. 5ft. 3in., c. fair, h. It. brown, e. grey, burn scar rt. wrist. Sentenced at Middlesex Sess., 4.2.1911, to 4 yrs.' pen. and remanet of former sentence for larceny— servant. Liberated on licence 15.6.1914 into the Met. Pol. Dist., which expires 6.2.1916. Officer proving identity, P. S. Eve, C. I. D., V. Officer proving service of notice, P. S. Dyer, 76 S. Reported her removal 1st ult., but did not pro- ceed to the address given, neither has she since reported. Obtains situations as domestic servant and absconds with jewellery and money. Known to police at BRIGHTON and on T DIVN., MET. POL. Arrest is also sought on B Divn., Met, Pol., for larceny— servant, vide POLICE GAZETTE, Case No. 4, current issue. APPREHENSIONS. 272. JAMES LAWRENCE, C. R. O. No. 240- 09, Case No. 235, is remanded at willesden Petty Sess., on a charge of drunkenness. 273. JAMES ROBERTS, C. R. O. No. 2692- 99, Case No. 251,. is remanded at Marylebone Pol. C't., L., on a charge of being a suspected person, etc. APPREHENSIONS SOUCHT. 274. THOMAS REED, C. R. O. No. 934- 11, Case 243, not now wanted. 275. JOHN ALBERT HIRST, C. R. O. Case No. 266, not now wanted. No. 233- 04, Prisoners Temporarily Discharged from Prison whose Apprehension is sought. 276. Criminal Record Office. For failing to comply with the conditions of her licenoe— left a nursing home in Edinburgh, unobserved, 27th ult., and failed to return.— JANET ARTHUR, alias Fanny Parker, C. R. O. No. 10350- 14, age 35, ht. 5ft. lin., c. fresh, li. dk. brown ( turning grey), e. brown, broad nostrils, front teeth large and somewhat protruding, short upper lip. For failing to return to Carnarvon Prison, 14th ult.— GEORGINA LLOYD, alias Emily Fussell, C. R. O. No. 10059- 14, age 32, ht. 5ft. 6in„ c. pale, h. brown, e. grey.
