CONFIDENTIAL. Supplement B. THE • POLICE GAZETTE FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH, 1914. No. 25, VOL. I. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Acts, and the Prisoners ( Temporary Discharge for 111 Health) Act, 1913. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce tl e same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. ~ t / SUPPLEMENT B. 217. Kettering ( County). * BIGGS, FRANCIS, aliases, FRANK BIGGS, GEORGE ANDERSON, GEORGE HENDER- SON, FREDERICK BATES and ALEC. SINGER, C. R. O. No. 2806- 00 ( 111. Cir. 61, Fig. 20), age 70, ht. 5ft. 8in., c. fresh, h. grey ( bald on top), e. grey, scar bridge of nose and top of forehead, woman, flag and mermaid rt., crossed flags and sailor 1. forearm. Sentenced at Northampton Assizes, 7.2.1906, to 10 yrs.' pen. for burglary. Liberated on licence, 2.6.1913, to Kettering. Left his registered address, 22.5.1914, without notifying his removal. Has numerous cons, for larceny, burglary, house- breaking, etc. Known to police at Northampton, Wisbech, Ely, Bedford, Kettering, Huntingdon, Stafford, Not- tingham, Chester, Sheffield and Wellingborough. Warrant issued by Kettering. May be dealt with where found. APPREHENSIONS. 218. GEORGE ALLEN, C. R. O. No. 929- 11, Case No. 211, is remanded at Dundalk, charged as JOHN HENDERSON, with burglary. 219. JOHN CHARLES CAMPBELL, C. R. O. No. 149- 02, Case No. 174. 220. HARRY STEWART ELLISON, C. R. O. No. 1936- 09, Case No. { K), is remanded at Swansea as GEORGE HARRIS, for being a suspected person. 221. WILLIAM PEEL, C. R. O. No. 3059- 01, Case No. 152, 8tli ult., is remanded at Swindon until 22nd inst., charged as JOHN MUNRO with bur- glary. Memoranda. ALFRED WILSON, C. R. O. No. 1177- 04, Case No. 37, 9th January last, warrant issued. Orig- inal notice to be amended accordingly. GEORGE ROBINSON, C. R. O. No. 1268- 03, Case No. 210, 12th inst., warrant issued by Wind- sor for failing to report. ROBINSON stayed at a beerhouse at Windsor for 3 or 4 days from 3rd inst., and left suddenly. After his disappearance a bicycle was missed and he is suspected of steal- ing it. Original notice to be amended accordingly. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. 222. Criminal Record Office. For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence which has been revoked.— JAMES GIL- BERT, alias FREDERICK BARKER, C. R. O. Released on licence, 27.3.1914, to the care of the Borstal Association. If arrested a telegram or telephonic communica- tion should be sent to the Governor, Pentonville No. S/ 144319, age 21, ht. 5ft. lin., c. fresh, h. and e. brown, anchor rt. I. L. N. L. 1. foreaim. Sentenced at C. C. C., 23.4.1912, to 2£ yrs.' dent, in a Borstal Institution for shopbreaking. Prison, who will send an escort for him. Not to be arrested after 22.4.1915.
