AU communication* tt insertion m the POLICE GAZETTE, and all communica- tions relating to them, should be addressed to THE EDITOR OS THE POLICE GAZETTE, NEW SCOTLAND YARD, LONDON, S. W. 2. Particulars concerning persons whose apprehension is sought will be inserted in one issue of the POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 3. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. t. In all cases where a reward is offered, the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, and the exact conditions must be clearly stated. 6. Portraits of Persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences will be inserted at a cost of 8s. per portrait, and engravings of stolen property at a cost of ( is. per photograph or sketch, unless the article is large or 1M> usually intricate, when the charge will be higher. A remittance of 6j. should be made in the first instance for cost of engraving sketches. e. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and if the name of such person is required to be inserted and no warrant- is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. 7. Announcements concerning stolen %> roperty must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto. 8. Announcements of all persons te be appreheruied or of stolen property bear • number, and as far as practicable they are alphabetically arranged by counties. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZETTE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next issue. 10. In all cases the officer signing the request for the insertion of any announce- ment will be wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result fret » such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only; they must be in the usual form, and accompanied by a covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either at the office, New Scotland Yard, by Postal Order, or by Post Office Order, payable at Parliament Street Post Office. 13. The Space being limited, announcements concerning " Missing Persons" are only accepted on payment, but insertion in the next or any lu'usequent issue cannot be guaranteed. The charge for such insertion { if accepted) will be given on application. 14. AH copies of the POLICE GAZETTE re- transmitted by Police Forces should bt prepaid at the ordinary rate for printed matter sent by post within the United Kingdom. ESS£ X. 16— Romford ( County)— For being concerned with two men ( in custody) in stealing £ 3 from a till, 15th ult— ARTHUR POEL ( see Case No. 13 10th inst.), age 35, height 5 ft. 4 in., complexion fresh, oval face, hair brown, eyes grey. A carman, native of Romford. Warrant issued. Information to Supt. Jones, Romford. GLAMORGANSHIRE 17.— Cardiff ( City).— For obtaining £ 30 by a forged cheque— J. W. COOK, age 38 to 40, height 5 ft. 8 to 10 in., good build, complexion sallow, hair and small moustache ( cut close) dark, speaks English well but with German accent; wearing dark overcoat, soft white or light grey hat, Ameri- can style. Represented himself as a partner in the " Bauer Line to New York." Believed a native of Hamburg. On 9th inst., he called upon a gentle- man at the Cardiff Exchange with whom he was acquainted about 20 years ago, and induced him to give him a cheque for £ 30 in lieu of a crossed one for the same amount, drawn on Lloyd's Bank, London. He afterwards cashed the cheque, re- ceiving £ 5 gold and 5 £ 5 Bank of England notes' ( 2 dated 10th Feb., 1910, Nos. D/ 24,57149- 50; 3 dated 2nd March, 1910, Nos. D/ 28, 60001- 2 and 3). HAMPSHIRE. 20•— Aldershot ( County).— For failing to comply with an expulsion order made on him by the Secretary of State, 8th inst.— HENRY JONES, Office No., A. 2031, a Russian, age 22, height 5 ft. 9 in., complexion sallow, hair dark brown, eyes grey; scar on chin, right wrist and back left hand; dress, brown jacket and vest, grey trousers, grey check overcoat, black bowler hat. The alien was taken on board the S. S. Batavier, No. 2, at Custom House Quay, Lower Thames Street, E. C., 10th inst., and his passage paid to Warsaw, but he escaped before the departure of the vessel. He opened an agency as a financier, obtained the above amount as security from a person whom he appointed manager. Warrant issued. Information to Supt. Information to the Chief Constable, Manchester. 30.— Warrington ( Borough).— For obtain- ing £ 32 16s., by filling in a blank cheque and forging endorsement— ALBERT CAMPBELL MUIR ( stage name ALBERT CAMPBELL), age 33 ( looks much younger), height about 5 ft. 5 in., slight build, complexion pale, hair brown, clean shaved, eyes blue grey, bad teeth with spaoes between, of consumptive appearance, troublesome cough, carries one shoulder higher than other, turns one foot inwards, an inveterate cigarette smoker; dress, dark grey overcoat, dark blue serge suit, black tie, green cap, lace boots. A travelling theatrical manager; native of Lochawe. He was employed with the Armitage and Gold- smid's " Greater Love " Theatrical Company, prior to which he managed a skating rink at Barry Dock. Supposed a native of West Bromwich. He calls upon shopkeepers, represents himself as a debt collector, obtains engagements to collect money, and after doing so absconds with same. Warrant issued. 35.- Lichfield ( Comity).— For stealing 7s. from his lodgings at Cheslyn Hay, 7th inst.— FRED WHITTLE, alias DAVIS, age about 30, height 5 ft. 1 or 2 in., stout build, complexion dark, hair brown, clean shaved, twitches left eye, blue scar under; wearing black striped jacket, brown vest, dark muffler, grey mixture cap, brown lace boots, blacked.
