Cnatham Plymouth Chatham sc rt thigh 1 round spots It frm sc top head Whenever men suspected of desertion or straggling from the Royal Navy or Royal Marines are brought before Magistrates in the Metropolitan District it is desirable that the Naval Descriptive Return in use in that District should be used only in the cases of seamen and others of the Royal Navy, andof Marines, who have deserted from His Majesty's Ships. In the case of Marines not embarked who have deserted from the head quarters of their Divisions, the Army Descriptive Return, as specified in the 4th Schedule of the Army Act, 1881 should be used. In districts outside the Metropolitan Districts to which Naval Descriptive Returns are not supplied, the Army Form should be used in all cases.
