Announccme/ Us concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto. 8. Announcements if all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and, as far as practicable, they are alph abet ically arranged by counties. 9. The force which causes particulars coneerjiing delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE CRAZETTE, must, on their apprehension, or recovery, ut once transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement, for insertion in the next issue. 10. In all cases the officer signing the request for the insertion of any aniunmcement will be. wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result, from such publication. 11 Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only ; they must be in the usual form, and accompanied by a covering letter. 12. He represe nted himself as captain of a teamer lying at Runcorn Docks, and left the following morning, stating he was going to the station to meet his wife and family. Warrant issued. He obtained from a draper's shop a quantity of shirts, cuffs, towels, undershirts, pants, handkerchiefs, & c., tendering a stolen cheque payable to David Drummond, M.
