WADE, of 140, King Street, Hammersmith, London, who advertises that to anyone who guesses a transparently simple " rebus," and buys a silver chain from him, he will present a silver watch, free of charge. The fraud is similar to that practiced by Ernest Goode, who has been exposed in this column, for of course, the 16s. to 25s. charged for the chain covers the cost of watch and chain, with a wide margin for profit.
