All announcements for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, and all communications upon them, should be addressed to THE EDITOR OF THE POLICE GAZETTE, NEW SCOTLAND YARD, LONDON, S. W. 2. Particulars concerning persons whose appreimm^ r. is sought will be ' nserted in one issue of the POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 3. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all cases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. 5. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of stolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15a. per portrait, and of 7s. 6d. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engraving on wood. 6. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the. signature of an officer of not less rankthan Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to be inserted, and no warrant is in force against, him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. 1. Announcements concerning stolen property mu4 be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto. 8. A nnouncements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and are alphabetically arranged by counties. 9. Theforcewhich causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZETTE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the. Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next issue. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement, will be wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only, be in the usual form, and accompanied by a covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either at the office, New Scotland Yard, by cheque crossed " Drummond dk Co.," Post Office Order payable at Parliament- st., Postal Order, » in Stamps. 13. Advertisements are accepted lor the POLICE GAZETTE through Mr. James Willing, 125, Strand, London, the sole Agent, who will furnish the rates on application. 14. GRIFFITH, Aged 18 years, height 6 ft. 2 in., complexion fresh, hair light, eyes grey, is short- sighted and always wears specta- cles. Dressed, when last seen, in a light Norfolk jacket, dark blue trousers, light cloth cap, black cycling shoes, a black silk scarf and white muffler round his neck. Wear- ing a silver watch with initials " T. S. G." on shield at back. Had in his possession a Rover Bicycle, pneumatic tyres, and wheels painted yellow. He is a clerk by profession, and was in a good position » , t an office in Coventry, where he left everything all right i Thursday, November 26th last, and should have re- named to his post on the following morning, but has not been seen since he left home as stated above, when he told his parents he was going for a good long ride on his bicycle. Please cause every possible search and enquiry to be made, as it is feared some ill has befallen him. Any information as to his present whereabouts will be thank- fully received by his parents, and the above Reward paid by the undersigned for any information leading to his being traced, or for the recovery of the body if dead.
