All announcement) for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, and all communications upon them should be addressed to THB EDITOB OP THB POLICE GAZETTE, NEW SCOTLAND YABD, LONDON, S. W. 2. Particulars concerning personswhose apprehension is sought ivillbe inserted inone issueofthe POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. d. Part iculars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all cases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the pun must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. i. Purlrr. ii* of persons whose apprehension sought for serious offences, and engravings of stolen , ir'ip" rty, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15s. per portrn l. mid of Is. ( id. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engran » g on wood. 8. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an office/ ' if not less rank than Superintendent; ancl, ifthe name of such person be required to be inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed hy the chief officer uf mil ice, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. 7. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and or* alphabetically arranged by counties. 9- The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted t' » the POLICE GAZETTE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next issue. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement, will be wholly responsible for any proceedings whicn may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwaraed so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They muft_ be clearly written on one side of the paper only, be in the usual form, and accompanied by a covering letter, 12. All payments must be in advance, either at the office, New Scotland Yard, by deque, crossed " DrummondSf Co." Post Office Order payable at Parliament- si., Pettml Urdtr, or in Stamps. 13. Advertisements are accepted for the POLICE GAZETTE through Mr. Jamet Willing, IS.'. Strand, London, the sole Agent, who will furnish the rates on application. 14. Subject to me Admiralty Regulations (" Police Gazette," December 18, 1894), a reward at the discretion of the Captain of the Ship of not exceeding £ 3, will be paid for the apprehension, within two years, of Deserters or Absentees ( except when apprehended within the precincts of a port or place where there is a Police Force employed at any Naval Establishment). Last seen at Penkridge Railway Station at 7 o'clock in the morning of the date named. The elder is of fair complexion, with blue eyes and very bad front teeth. About 5 feet in height, rather round shouldered; probably dressed in blue check print dress, black short jacket, trimmed astrachan, hat, either dark navy felt, trimmed with navy velveteen, or brown hat trimmed with brown ribbon ; carried a band box and parcel. Constance is also of fair complexion, with blue eyes, but has very good teeth. About 5 feet in height, walks very straight; marks of cut on left side of top lip. Supposed dressed in blue check print dress, short black jacket, trimmed astrachan, navy blue felt hat, trimmed navy blue velveteen, navy blue scarf ( very large), ribbon ends, when left home ; also had band box and parcel. Both very in- telligent. May have joined some theatrical company or travelling show, or may try to obtain situation as domestic servants. The youngest had often expressed a wish to emigrate.
