All announcements for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, and all communications upon them should be addressed to THE EDITOB OP THE POLICE GAZETTE, NEW SCOTLAND YABD, LONDON, S . W. S. Particulars concerning persons whose apprehension is sought will be inserted in one issue of the POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 8. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all cases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. St. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of stolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15s. per portrait, and of 7s. 6d. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engraving on wood. 8. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to be inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. 7. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto, 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and art alphabetically arranged by counties. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZETTE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to ( he Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next issue. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement, will be wholly responsible for any proceedings whicn may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They must be clearly ivritten on one side of the paper only, be in the usual form, and accompanied by a covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either at the office, Netv Scotland Yard, by cleque, crossed " Drummond Sf Co.," Post Office Order payable at Parliament- st., Postal Order, or in Stamps. 13. Advertisements are accepted for the POLICE GAZETTE through Mr. Jame » Willing, IF)!'. Strand, London, the sole Agent, who will furnish the rates on application. 14. In the case of Marines not embarked who have deserted from the Head Quarters of their Divisions, the Army Descriptive Return, as specified in ihe 4th Schedule of the Army Act, 1881, should be used. In Districts outside the Metropolitan Districts to which Naval Descriptive Returns are not supplied, the Army Form should be used in all cases. THE POLICE GAZETTE. 3 MISSING from their home, at Penkridge, near Stafford, since the 30th November, NELLIE CORT BROADHURST, age 17, and CONSTANCE MAY BROADHURST, age 14, sisters. Last seen at Penkridge Railway Station at 7 o'clock in the morning of the date named. The elder is of fair complexion, with blue eyes and very bad front teeth. About 5 feet in height, rather round shouldered; probably dressed in blue check print dress, black short jacket, trimmed astrachan, hat, either dark navy felt, trimmed with navy velveteen, or brown hat trimmed with brown ribbon; carried a band box and parcel. Constance is also of fair complexion, with blue eyes, but has very good teeth. About 5 feet in height, walks very straight; marks of cut on left side of top lip. Supposed dressed in blue check print dress, short black jacket, trimmed astrachan, navy blue felt hat, trimmed navy blue velveteen, navy blue scarf ( very large), ribbon ends, when left home ; also had band box and parcel. Both very intelligent. May have joined some theatrical company or travelling show, or may try to obtain situation as domestic servants. The youngest had often expressed a wish to emigrate.
