Description of THOMAS STANLEY ( name supposed to be fictitious), who stands charged with having, on the 2 Ist day of August, 1893, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillan, and town of Portrush, unlawfully and by fraud and false pretences obtained from one Thomas Murray the sum of £ 5 sterling, and on the 22nd day of August, 1893, in the town of Portrush, aforesaid, from one James Appleby Mercer, one watch, value £ 1 15s.; one gold ring, value £ 2 10s.; one gold keeper ring, value lis.; and one gold pencil, value £ 2:— Slightly stooped, small dark moustache, turned up at ends, staring dark eyes, aquiline rri- e, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 25 y. Ars of age, dark hair; wore a gray cloth cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; represented himself ( believed falsely) as a lieutenant in the army. Description of JOHN PLUNKETT, native of 92, Phibsborough- road Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of July, 1893, at Armagh, in the barony of Armagh, parish of Armagh, obtained one sovereign by false pretences from Josiah Peel:— Rather awkward gait, turns out his toe3 when walking, left eye weak, may be wearing a bandage on it, small gray eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 40 years of age, black moustache and hair; wore a black hard hat, black coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest; groom and stableman; is on tramp through the country looking for emplgyment. Sd., from Catherine Durnen, Drogheda, by fraud and false pretences:— Good looking, wore dark moustache, shaved face, spoke with English accent, full brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 35 years of age, black hair; wore a brown liat, dark coat, dark trowsers, and dark vest. He is accompanied by a man and two women. They have been advertising a Gladstone bag and dresses in the Dublin papers for sale, and obtained money from several persons by that means under false pretences. Their descriptions are annexed. Warrant for A. J. Ryan's arrest is in the hands of the District Inspector at Drogheda. Description of Mr. RYAN :— Very delicate looking, spoke with an English accent, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 30 years of age, black hair; wore a dark round hat and dark coat. Description of Mrs. RYAN:— Very stout, good looking, spoke with an English accent, full brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, very stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair ; wore a light tweed dress. Description of Mrs. RYAn :— Very slight deli appearance, spoke with an English accent, fair eg plexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feet 1 inch ] about 27 years of age, fair hair ; wore a striped dress. Particulars relative to convict WILLIAM M'MASTER, alias ARMSTRONG, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Quarter Sessions, on lsj October, 1* 89, for burglary, after previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to - 5 years' penal servitude:— 19 years of age on conviction, single, is a porter; born at Portadown ; resided before con- viction at Hollywood, county Down; his friends reside at Belfast; light brown hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, prominent nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high; ulcer marks on neck, cut on back of right hand, and between eyebrows. This man w as released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 7th July, 1893, and went to reside at Belfast. He left residence on 1st instant without reporting to the Royal Irish Constabulary, and his present where- abouts is unknown. Particulars relative to convict PATRICK CON- NOR, c, • i39, convicted at Naas, county Kildare, at the Summer Assizes, on 15th July, 1890, for larceny from [ 4jPt> n, and sentenced to 5 years'penal servitude :— 34 ycivfe- ot age, single, is a dealer, born in Dubiin, resided b afore conviction in Dublin where his friends reside ; li;\ t brown hair, blue eyes, light brown eye- brows, large nose, small mouth, lresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 leet 5 inches high ; cut on left temple, mole on right cheek, PC, MK, NM, crown, harp, shamrock on right forearm, This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 24th December, 1891, and went to reside at 25, Denmark- st., Dublin. He has recently left his residence without reporting to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vie., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by the Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 24th August, 1891. ( 572 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict DAVID HAMIL- TON, c. 297, convicted at Belfast, at Quarter Sessions, on 4 th December, 1888, lor supplying false information to the Registrar of Deaths, and sentenced to 5 years" penal servitude, and 5 years' police supervision :— 34 years of age, single, is a blocker; born at Temple, patiick, county Antrim; resided before conviction in Belfast where his friends reside; brown hair, gray eyes, brown eyebrows, small nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 2 inches high; cut on top of head and near left eye, mole back of right hand, varicose veins in left leg, ruptured left side, getting bald. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 5th October, 1892, and went to reside at Belfast. He left his residence on or about 20th ulto., without reporting to Royal Irish Constabulary, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Particulars relative to convict JAMES MAGUIRE, otherwise HUGH PRIM, 695, convicted at Dublin, at Recorder's Court, on 26th November, 1886, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servi- tude :— 50 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born at Dublin ; resided before conviction at Dublin; gray hair, hazel eyes, sandy eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high ; cut- marks on forehead, wart on chin, right side of nose, corner of right eye, and on right cheek. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on 10th July, and left on 14th July, for Bristol. He has not reported himself at the latter, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 21st August, 1893. ( 571 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict THOMAS LOVE, c. 20, convicted at Enniskillen, county Fermanagh, at Quarter Sessions, on 18th November, 1885, for larceny — two cases— and previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 y ears' penal servitude :— 50 years of age, single, is a stonecutter, born in Drumcoolan, Enniskillen, resided before conviction in Enniskillen where his friends reside; dark brown hair turning gray, brown eyes, black eyebrows turning gray, large nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 11J inches high ; right leg ulcerated at shin, bald on top of head. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 23rd May, 1893. He recently left his residence, 14, Bride- street, Dublin, without notifying to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. El 14704 to El 14708:— A Man, who gave the name of THEODORE MAYO STILES ( supposed false), age 25 to 30, height about 5 feet 4 inches, complexion tanned, hair and eyes dark; dress, tawny- brown tweed suit and cloth peak cap, also has a straw hat with coloured band. He left Cowes by the 12.20 boat, I nth inst., for Southsea. May fill up and endeavour to cash the stolen cheques. Warrant issued. Description of a cow, the property of George Cartwright, which was stolen from the lands of Dromora Great, parish of Kilmore, barony of Upper Loughtee, on the 19th or 20th September, 1893 :— Pale yellow colour, short dark horns, curved inwards, 3 years old, and value for about £ 12. Description of articles, the property of Nevin Thomas M'Connell, which were stolen from his house in Tullyvallen, parish of Newtownhamilton, barony of Upper Fews, on the 27th day of August, 1893:— One silver lever watch, No. 3790, maker " Jeffry, Glasgow," on dial, Wm. Hamilton M'Connell scratched on inside of case, value £ 5 5s.; one plated gold Albert of iuegular pattern with small compass or ornament i r centre minus the bar, with swivel at both ends, and one pair of very strong nailed boots, laced up front with bellows tongues, nearly new. A lady's gold Geneva watch, small size, white dial, name " Hilser" on case, number unknown; value for £ 4. 2. A heart- shaped gold brooch, small size; value for £ 1 18s. 3. A gold locket, with black silk guard attached ; value for 10s. 4. An imitation gold locket; value for 2s. 5. A brown leather clasped purse, containing fottr or five bank orders and some other papers ; value for £ 4 10s.; and of no use to anyone but owner. Ballincollig, 8th September, 1893. Description of articles the property of Thomas Sullivan, which were burglariously stolen from his dwelling- house at Bealad East, parish of Kilkerrin- more, barony of Ibane and Barryroe, on the night of 1st or morning of 2nd September, 1893; - One suit of brown tweed, plaid pattern, nearly new ; one American gilt clock, horseshoe shape ; three coloured flannelette shirts; £ 2 18s. in cash, as follows— 2 one pound notes, half sovereign, and eight shillings in silver. A tramp of the following description is very strongly suspected, name and native place unknown, represents himself as a tailor, active military appearance, small brown eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, prominent cheek bones, slight mtike, 5 feet 7 inches high, and abjut 30 years of age, shaves all his face except moustache which is fair, had a week's growth of beard on ; wore a hard felt hat, black cloth coat, sack make, light brown trowsers and vest. Description of pawn tickets found on Michael Dunne, alias Larkin, arrested on 21st August, 1893, on a charge of having stolen a dust coat from the open dwelling of Eugene O'Brien, in the barony of Coolestown, parish of Monasteroris, on 29th July, 1893:— 1. For suit and carpet bag. pawned at South Rich- mond- street, Dublin, April, 1893. 2. For busks, pawned at Clarendon- street, Dublin, 4th July, 1893. 3. For w. e. boots, pawned at Cuffe- street, Dublin, 5th July, 1893. 4. For vest and blue serge pants, pawned at Athlone, 6th August, 1893. 5. For boots, pawned in Tullamore, 21st August, 1893. A strap, bearing name P. Maguire, Mullingar, and fitting into boots at No. 5, was also found on him.
