REGXTLATIONB, qr All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not mxxaisvcy forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been iasuad, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this Mature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when, making the arrest. - I' • • %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this (• formation the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the ahalition of Gaols, Stations, < fcc., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Description of THOMAS STANLEY ( name supposed to be fictitious), who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of August, 1893, in the barony of Lower Dunluce, parish of Ballywillan, and town of Portrush, unlawfully and by fraud and false pretences obtained from one Thomas Murray the sum of £ 5 sterling, and on the 22nd day of August, 1893, in the town of Portrush, aforesaid, from one James Appleby Mercer, one watch, value £ 1 15s,; one gold ring, value £ 2 10 « .; one gold keeper ring, value Hi.; and one gold pencil, value £ 2:— Slightly stooped, small dark moustache, turned up at ends, staring dark eyes, aquiline nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; wore a gray cloth cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; represented himself ( believed falsely) as a lieutenant in the army. Warrant for his arrest in the hands of the Royal Irish Constabulary, Portrush, county Antrim. Ballymoney, 27thAugust, 1893. ( 24346 c.— 16303). Description of WILLIAM HENRY, native of Banbridge, county Down, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd day of July, 1893, in the barony of Lower Belfast, parish of Shankhill, escaped from legal custody when under arrest in Glengormley Police Barrack :— Cast in left eye, bald on top of head, all shaved except moustache, which is dark; gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark coat, trowsers, and vest, much worn; is a tramp tailor. Warrant in hands of the Sergeant, Royal Irish Constabulary, Glengormley, Lisburn, 12th August, 1893. ( 24073 e.— 15870.) Description of GIRVAN or GREER, native place unknown ( says he belongs to Ballynure, county Antrim, which is untrue), who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of July, 1893, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Kirkinriola, obtained by false representations the sum of 16s. from William M'Cooke, of Ballymena, who keeps a lodging- house:— Leans forward when walking, cut- mark on bridge of nose, dark eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 35 or 40 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a low dark felt hat and dark gray suit; says he is a hay- buyer and bus- driver; has the appearance of a cattle- dealer; has been traced as far as Castledawson, county London- derry. A warrant is in the hands of District Inspector S. R. Carter, of Ballymena, for his arre^ P Ballymena, 1st August, 1893. ( 23911 c.— 15611.) MAN, unknown ( assault and attempting to stab), ^ ue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested ( 21220 &— 10717). PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( firing at the person), described is Hue- and- Cry of 24th March, not arrested. ( 19619 c.— 7660.) Armagh, Description of JOHN PLUNKETT, native of 92, Phibsborough- road, Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of July, 1893, at Armagh, in the barony of Armagh, parish of Armagh, obtained one sovereign by false pretences from Josiah Peel:— Rather awkward gait, turns out his toe3 when walking, left eye weak, may be wearing a bandage on it, small gray eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches. high, about 40 years of age, black moustache and hair; wore a black hard hat, black coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest; is a groom and stableman; is on tramp through the country looking for employment. Warrant issued. Armagh, 25th August, 1893. ( 24348 c.— 16305.) Licensed Convict HUGH DAILY, described in issue of 30th May, not arrested. ( 551 H. C.) Cavan. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 20th July, 1893, at Killygarry, in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Annageliffe, committed a rape on one Anne Rogers ;— Has fresh cut- marks or scratches on face, believed left side, received in the struggle, large upper lip, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy hair; wore a soft black hat, black heavy coat, light tweed trowsers; is a labourer. Warrant issued, and in hands of Constabulary at Cavan. CaVan, 27th July, 1893. ( 23807 c.— 15436.) Description of WILLIAM HEWITT, Junior ( Mother's surname M'Meikle), native of Drum- connick, Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 13th December, 1892, in the barony of Upper Longhtee, parish of Urney, stabbed one Moses Rourke with a penknife, and being bound by recognizance to appear at cavan Petty Sessions an 19th Decem- ber, 1892, has absconded from his bail:— Prominent teeth, square shoulders, active appearance; dark eyes, slightly hooked nose, dark complexion, regular face, slight make, 6 feet 1 inch high, abont 88 years of age, dark hair; wore a black hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. MICHAEL KELLY ( carnal knowledge of a girl nnder 16 years), not arrested, Hue and- Cry, 28th October, 1892. ( 18867 c— 6194.) MICHAEL CLUNE ( house- breaking), Hme- and- Cry, 2nd Sept, not arrested. ( 16138 c.— 186a) WOMAN, charged with abandoning infant child, and described in issue of 15th August, not arrested. ( 21925 c.— 12255.) Down. Licensed Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR described in issae of 24th March, not arrested. ( 526 H. C.) Cork. Description of MARY RYAN ( mother's name Mary Guiney), native of Lisnashershane, who, on tjte 1st June, 1893, in the barony of Duhallow, parish of Cullen, left her place of abode and has not since been heard of, and it is feared may have met with foul play Blind in left eye, and has a scum on eye- ball, and is almost deaf and dumb, dark eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 45 years of age, fair hair; wore a black dress, brown shawl, with which she always covered her face; is a servant. Dublin, Description of JAMES HURSEN, native of Ballinalee, county Longford, who stands charged with having, on the 10th August, 1893, in the barony of Coolock, parish of Coolock, committed an assault on a fellow workman named John Duffy, from the effects of which he died on 12th inst.:— Small side whiskers, slight moustache, slight growth of beard on chin, sharp nose, sallow complexion, slight active make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 25 years of age, sandy hair; wore a cap, light tweed coat and tweed trowsers; is a migratory labourer. PATRICK LAWLESS ( attemptedrape), described in issue of 7th. April, not arrested, ( 19718 c.— 7860). THE POLICE GAZETTE, OB. HUE- AND- CRY, SEPTEMBER 8, Galway. Description of MICHAEL GEOGHEGAN ( mother's surname Geoghegan, native of Oughterard, who stands charged with having, between the 15th September, 1892, and the 29th June, 1893, in the barony of Moycullen, parish of Kilcummin, embezzled several moneys, the property of the Oughterard Board of Guardians :— Speaks hurriedly, smooth shaved, with slight fair moustache, blue eyes, ordinary nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 40 years of age, light blown hair; is a butcher and poor rate collector. Warrant in hands of District Inspector at Oughtcrard. Oughterard, 30th June, 1893. ( 23319 c.— 14537.) Kerry. PATRICK SHEA ( murder), dercribed in Hut- and- Cry of Slat Mtrch, 1893, not anested. ( 20169 c.— 8732.) Kildare. Description of a MAN, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd August, 1893, at Leixlip, in the barony of North Salt, parish of Leixlip, stolen a cow, the property of George Soden, which has since been recovered :— Blue or gray eyes, straight nose, pale complexion, medium make, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair, turning gray, face clean shaved ; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest; looks like a butler. Naas, 5th August, 1893. ( 23998 c— 15757). Description of JOHN JOSEPH BROOKES, alias GEORGE LESTON, native of Newtownbarry, who stands charged with having, on the 13th July, 1893, in the barony of Narragh and Reban West, parish of St. Michael's, stolen an ass and cart, the property of one George Bailey, of Best. The ass and cart has been discovered and restored to owner :— Dark complexion, medium make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 45 or 50 years of age, dark hair, small black side whiskers and moustache, chin shaved; wore a brown plaid tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, and tweed vest; is a tramp labourer. Athy, 18th July, 1893. ( 23639 c.— 15132.) Description of TWO TRAMPS, names and residences unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 6th day of June, 1893, in the barony of Offaly East, parish of Walterstown, robbed one Martin Byrne of £ 9 15 « . :— 1. Dark complexion, stout make, 6 feet high, about 30 years of age, dark hair, short black beard; wore a dark cap, glazed peak, gray coat and trowsers; is a tramp- 2. Sandy complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 35 years of age, sandy hair, bow legged; wore a soft hat, dark short coat, moleskin trowsers; is a tramp. Kildare, 8th June, 1893. Description of a MAN, unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd May, 1893, in the barony of East Offally, parish of Ballysax, attempted to indecently assault one Violet J. Rogers :— Blotches on face; small gray eyes, large flat nose, shaved face, sligc.^ make, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown hair; wore a dark brown coat, trowsers, and vest. Athy, 2nd June. 1893. ( 22821c 13736.) Kilkenny. Description of JOHN JOHNSTON, alias JOHN SIMPSON, supposed native of- county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th August, 1893, in the barony of Callan, parish of Callan, obtained food and lodging, value 12s., from Catherine Molloy, Callan, by falsely representing him- self to be an Ex- Head Constable of the R. I. C. :— Active appearance, blue eyes, long nose, sallow com- plexion, thin lace, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 55 years of age, gray hair, beard, and whiskers ; wore a hard black hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a land steward and emergencyman. This man is at present on remand in Kilkenny Gaol, and may have committed similar offences elsewhere. Callan, 23rd August, 1893. ( 24210 16229.) LAURENCE ARCHER ( attempted murder), Hue- and- Cry, 21st March, 1893, not arrested. ( 19605 c — 7584.) SARSFIELD BURKE ( assault on the Police), not arrested, Hue- and- Cry, 18th November, 1892. ( 19297 c.— 6972.) King's Description of MICHAEL DUNNE, alias LARKIN, native of Rathfeston, Geashill, King's co., who stands charged on remand with having, on the 29th day of July, 1893, in the barony of Coolestown, parish of Monasteroris, unlawfully stolen from the open dwelling of Eugene O'Brien, a dust coat, value for about 30s.;— Lame slightly in left leg; old scar- mark on forehead; middle finger of left hand flat, result of an accident; dark brown eyes, long nose, pale sallow complexion, long oval face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair turned almost gray ; wore a black ( boatman's1) cap, short black coat, corduroy trowsers, dark tweed vest; is an Army Reserve man, and has appearance of a labourer. Discharged from D. Division Dublin Metropolitan Police in Jan- uary, 1882. This man may have committed crime elsewhere ( see description of other articles found under heading of " Property Stolen"). Edenderry, 30th Aug, 1893. ( 24384 c.— 16364.) Description of the undernamed Young Offender, who, on the 1st August, 1893, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County :— JAMES CARTY, No. 1,615, 16 years of age, 4 feet 10 inches high, medium make, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, ordinary nose, regular mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to Dublin; mother resides at 11, Ash- street, Dublin. The School Dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of :— Moleskin vest, dark gray tweed tunic, trowsers uncertain ( had taken off Reformatory trow- sers), Glengarry cap, Blucher boots, No. 1,615. He is likely to go to Dublin. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 3rd August, 1893. ( 567 H. C,) Description of the undernamed Young Offender, who, on the 24 th July, 1893, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School at King's County :— JOHN MURRAY, No. 1,538, 16 years of age, 4 feet 11 inches high, medium make, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, ordinary nose, regular mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to 5 Gloucester- place, North, Dublin; parents reside at same place; stepfather, Joseph Carpenter; abscess mark on right arm. The School Dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Moleskin trowsers and vest, dark tweed tunic, Glengarry cap, Blucher boots, No. 1,538. May hire for a time with a farmer, but is likely eventually to go to Dublin. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest J ustice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. ( 566 H. C.) LAURENCE HICKEY ( robbery from a house), Hne- and- Cry, 21st March, 1893, not arrested. ( 20142 c.— 8615.) Limerick. Description of WILLIAM TOBIN and JAMES O'DONNELL, who stand charged with having, on the evening of 27th August,- murdered John O'Connell, by stabbing him in the heart at Cooga, near Doon :— 1. Down- looking, awkward gait, long neck, long nose, dark sallow complexion, shaves face, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 24 years of age, dark hair; wore a cap, black round frock coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer. 2. Supposed fresh cut on head, stoops forward when walking, sallow complexion, slight hardy make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 20 years of age; is a labourer. Newpallas, 28th August, 1893. ( 24353 c.— 16321). Description of GEORGE KIRWAN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 1st of July, 1893, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of Doon, threatened to shoot Jeremiah Noonan :— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 50 years of age; dark hair turning gray; deficient the third finger of the right hand ; wore a dark tweed coat and vest. Is usually employed in caring evicted tenants' farms ; is an Army Pensioner and Caretaker. A warrant for his arrest has been issued. 30th July, 1983. ( 23715 c.— 1557 ) JOSEPH O'REILLY ( embezzlement), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. ( 21596 11493). WILLIAM FITZGERALD ( charged with murder) Hue- and- Cry, 12th May, has net been arrested. . ( 98360 c.— 86735. Londonderry. JAMES M'PEAKE ( serious assault), described in issue of 7th April, not arrested. ( 19864 8141). Louth. Description of A. J. RYAN ( name supposed fictitious), who stands charged with having, on the 24th July, 1893, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St. Peter's, obtained food and lodging, value £ 1 13 « . 8d., from Catherine Durnen, Drogheda, by fraud and false pretences;— Good looking, wore dark moustache, shaved face, spoke with English accent, full brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, about 35 wars of age, black hair; wore a brown hat, dark coat, uit^ fcawsers, and dark vest. He is accompanied by a man and two women. They have been advertising a Gladstone bag and dresses in the Dublin papers for sale, and obtained money from several persons by that means under false pretences. Their descriptions are annexed. Warrant for A. J. Ryan's arrest is in the hands of the District Inspector at Drogheda. Description of Mr. RYAN :— Very delicate looking, spoke with an English accent, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 30 years of age, black hair; wore a dark round hat and dark coat. Description of Mrs. RYAN:— Very stout, good looking, spoke with an English accent, full brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, very stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 28 years of age, brown hair; wore a light tweed dress. Description of Mrs. RYAN :— Very slight delicate appearance, spoke with an English aceent, fair com- plexion, thin face, very slight make, 5 feet 1 ipcli high, about 27 years of age, fair hair; wore a striped blue dress. It is probable these people may be committing similar offences elsewhere. Drogheda, 29th July, 1893. ( 23850 c 15509.) meath. Description of JOHN LARISSY ( mother's surname Mary Bennet), native of Athboy, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day of July, 1893, in the barony of Lunc, parish of Athboy, embezzled the sum of £ 1 15s. Gd. from Edward Russell, baker, of Athboy, by whom he was employed as driver of bread cart:— Smart active appearance ; dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a dark frock coat, dark tweed trowsers, and vest; is a bread cart- driver. Athboy, 16th July, 1893. ( 23583 c.— 15039 ) Queen's. Description of JAMES WHELAN, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd August, 1893, in the barony of Clondonagh, parish of Rathdowncy, robbed and assaulted on the high road one Johanna Keenan:— Gray eyes, thin nose, yellowish complexion, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 27 years of age; wore a sleeved waistcoat, dark trowsers and dark vest; is a labourer. Warrant issued for his arrest. Abbeyleix, 9th August, 1893. ( 23993 c.— 15835.) Tipperary. Description of THOMAS MOORE, native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 14th July, 1893, in the barony of Lower Ormond, parish of Modreeny, embezzled the sum of £ 7 from his employer, Goodhand Pattison:— Old scar on finger of right hand, good looking, brown eyes, thin nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, black hair; wore a one- peaked cap, black coat, brown trowsers with a light stripe; is a servant, was 9 months in army. Warrant in hands of Sergeant, at Cloughjordan. Roscrea, 16th July, 1893. ( 23582 c— 15088). Description of JOHN MALOUGHNEY, native of Curreeney, who stands charged with having, on th « night of 1st June, 1893, in the barony of Upper Ormond, parish of Annaghmeadle, attempted to commit a rape on Norah Butler, aged about 35 years:— High- cheek bones, prominent chin, gray or blue eyes, long thin nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair j wore a brown tweed cap, brown tweed coat, light tweed trowsers, and tweed vest; is a servant boy. Warrant for his arrest in the hands of the Royal Irish Constabulary at Templederry. Templemore, 10th June, 1893. JOHN RYAN, " PLUNKHAM" ( firing at the person), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. ( 20121c 8616). Tyrone. Description of JOHN O'HARA, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 18th day of July, 1893, at Ballintrain, in the barony of East Omagh, parish of Termonmagurk, seriously assaulted Francis Donnelly, by striking him with a spade on the top of the head, thereby endangering his life:— Gray eyes, regular nose, dark complexfon, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 or 35 years of age, brown hair; wore a gray frock coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a labourer and rag dealer. JAMES COLLINS alias BEATTY ( robbery of money, 4c.), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. ( 19869 c.— 8146). PATRICK MEENAN ( firing at the person), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. ( 19741 c— 7901). Westmeath. Description of JOHN M'DERMOTT, alias GATELY, native of Creggs, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the bth day of April, 1893, in the barony of Farbill, parish of Killucan, obtained the sum of six pounds sterling from Cornelius Hannan, Esq., j. t., by false pretenccs ; and for whose apprehension a warrant has been issued :— Walks with a heavy long step, careworn appearance, brown eyes, slightly cocked nose, pale complexion, round tace, • tout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, gray hair; was a commercial traveller and shop- fcseper. Description of JAMES COFFEY, native of Knockeraville, county Westmeath, who stands charged with having, on the night of 19th or morning of 20th April, 1893, in the barony of Moyashel and Rlaghera- TOrmon, parish of Dyssrt, stoien 3 sheep and 3 lambs :— Greatly bow- legged, result of being broken when training horses; gray or blue eyes, regular nose rather sharp, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, about 6 feet 5 inches high, between 26 and 80 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tight coat, tight fitting trowsers, black woollen cardigan jacket under his coat, heavy brass watch chain, will probably be found about horse training stables; is a horse trainer and groom. Particulars relative to convict WILLIAM M'MASTER, alias ARMSTRONG, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Quarter Sessions, on 1st October, l889, for burglary, after previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 19 years of age on conviction, single, is a porter ; born at Portadown; resided before con- viction ftt Hollywood, county Down; his friends reside at Belfast; light brown hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, prominent nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, ovul visage, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high; ulccr marks on neck, cut on back of right hand, and between eyebrows. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licencc, 7th July, 1893, and went to reside at Belfast. He left residence on 1st instant without reporting to the Royal Irish Constabulary, itnd his present where- abouts is link no wn. Particulars relative to convict PATRICK CON- NOR, c. 339, convicted at Naas, county Kildare, at the Summer Assizes, on 15th July, 1890, for larceny from person, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude: 34 years of age, single, is a dealer, born in Dublin, resided before conviction in Dublin where his friends reside ; light brown hair, blue eyes, light brown eye- brows, largo nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inchcs high ; cut on left temple, mole on right cheek, PC, MK, NM, crown, harp, shamrock on right forearm. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 24th December, 1891, and went to reside at 25, Denmark- st., Dublin. Ho has recently left his residence without reporting to tho Police, and his preseht whereabouts is unknown. Particulars relative to convict DAVID HAMIL- TON, c. 297, convicted at Belfast, at Quarter Sessions, on4th December, 1888, lor supplying false information to the Registrar of Deaths, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and 5 years' police supervision :- i- 34 years of age, single, is a blocker; born at Temple- patrick, county Antrim: resided before conviction in Belfast where his friends reside; brown hair, gray eyes, brown eyebrows, small nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 2 inches high; cut on top of head and near left eye, mole back of right hand, varicose veins in left leg, ruptured left side, getting bald. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 5th October, 1892, and went to reside at Belfast. Particulars relative to convict JAMES MAGUIRE, otherwise HUGH PRIM, 695, convicted at Dublin, at Recorder's Court, on 26th November, 1886, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servi- tude:— 50 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born at Dublin ; resided before conviction at Dublin; gray hair, hazel eyes, sandy eyebrows, regular nose, large mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high; cut- marks on forehead, wart on chin, right side of nose, corner of right eye, and on right cheek. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on 10th July, and left on J4th July, for Bristol. He has not reported himself at tho latter, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest ho should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 21st August, 1893. ( 571 H.*.) Description of PATRICK DALY, who was con- victed of larceny at Monaghan Assizes, on 9th March, 1889, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and who is now wanted on Warrant in consequence of the licence granted to him on 24th November, 1892, for the unexpired term of said sentence having been revoked :— He is 51 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, light brown hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache, fresh complexion, gray eyes, out mark on front of forehead, left side, lost one front tooth, upper jaw-, kick mark on left shin, is a labourer, and was born at Tipperary. Particulars relative to convict THOMAS LOVE, c. 20, convicted at Enniskillen, county Fermanagh, at Quarter Sessions, on 18th November, 1885, for larceny — two eases— and previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 > ears' penal servitude :— 50 years of age, single, is a stonecutter, born in Drumcoolan, Enniskillen, resided before conviction in Enniskillen where his friends reside; dark brown hair turning gray, brown eyes, black eyebrows turning gray, large nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 11$ inches high ; right leg ulcerated at shin, bald on top of head. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 23rd May, 1893. He recently left his residence, 14, Bride- street, Dublin, without notifying to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Wanted on warrant, charged with having, on 3rd June, deserted his wife and 3 children, whereby they have become chargeable to the poor law union of Chelmsford:— GEORGE THOMAS SMITH, a dis- charged soldier, native of Writtle, 32 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes, tattooed on chest two men boxing, inside one arm figure of a woman, on the other arm trees, bracelets tattooed round both wrists, rings tattooed round fingers; wears Indian gold rings on little finger, left hand. Description of pawn tickets found on Michael Dunne, alias Larkin, arrested on 21st August, 1893, on a charge of having stolen a dust coat from the open dwelling of Eugene O'Brien, in the barony of Coolestown, parish of Monasteroris, on 29th July, 1893:— 1. For suit and carpet bag. pawned at South Rich- mond- street, Dublin, April, 1893. 2. For busks, pawned at Clarendon- street, Dublin, 4th July, 1893. 3. For w. e. boots, pawned at Cuffe- street, Dublin, 5th July, 1893. 4. For vest and blue serge pants, pawned at Athlone, 6th August, 1893. 5. For boots, pawned in Tullamore, 21st August, 1893. A strap, bearing name P. Maguire, Mullingar, and fitting into boots at No. 5, was also found on him.
