Telivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the oovers, or give the number it bears, as without thia information the mistake cannot be resumed. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fco., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Antrim, Description of a MAN, name and native piece unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 6th March, 1893, in tbe barony of Lower Toome, parish of Kirkinriola, assaulted and attempted to stab with a knife Rose Gilmer, and threatened to murder her:— Very dary eyes regular nose, dark swarthy complexion foil face, stout n eke, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 30 jears of ape, d « rk bair, no whiskers cr beard, may have a slight moustache; wore a black greasy cap, dark cr black coat, dark trowsers and vest; trade cr occupation unknown; has the appearance of an engine fitter, mechanic, or sailor on tramp. ( 21220 c.— 10717) Description of PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( mother's surname Jordan), has friends near Bellegby, county Londonderry, native of Killy- garroD, who stands charged with having, on the night of lstj' December, 1892, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Portglenone, fired three shots from a revolver at John Agnew, with intent to shoot him, and snapped said revolver at Daniel Agnew twice, with intent to shoot him:— Square shoulders, no bear( i or moustache, appears never to have shaved; blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight mak4, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 28 jeers of age, brown hair; wore a brown tweed coat, troweere, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of JANE M'ENROE ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd day of February, 1893, in the barony of Upper Longhtee, parish of Urney, abandoned her infant child ( ender 2 years), so as to endanger its life:— Sullen Appearance; small suken eyes, slightly hooked rw*. sallow complexion long full fsce, stout make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, aboit 21 years of age, black hair, with a monkey fringe; wore a bleck drew and jacket, with a flowered print jacket underneatb, a black hat, with some reddish flowers, end carried an umbrella; supposed to be a farmer's serrant. Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native of Patron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1893, in the barony of Loughtee Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks:— Gray eyes, short thick nose, sallow com- plexion, tlin face, stout active make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat, light twee* 1 trousers and vest; is a labourer. Killeshandra, 11th Jan. 1898, ( 20286 8878.) inscription of WILLIAM HEWITT, Junior ( Mother's E ornate e M'Meikle), native of Drum- connick, Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 13th December, 1892, in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, stabbed one Moses Rourke with a penknife, and beinsr boucd by recognizance to appear at cavan Petty Sessions on 19th Decem- ber, 1892, has absconded from hii bail:— Prominent teeth, square shoulders, active appearance; dark eyes, slightly hooked nose, dark complexion, regular face, slight make, 6 feet 1 inch high, about 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a black bard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is A farmer's SOP. ( 16935 0.— 3045.) JAMES BEATTY ( horse stealing), Huo- and- Cry 9th August, not arrested. ( 16002 o.— 1470.) DANIEL CONNELL ( attempted rape), Hue- and Cry, 9th August, not arrested. Description of ROBERT CREE ( mother's surname Campbell), native of Bangor, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 14th January, 1893, in the barony of Lower Castlereagh, pirish of Bsngor, feloniously and burglarously broken and entered the dwelling- house of Thomas Jamison, and stolen there- from the sum of £ 4 10*.:— Tattoo marks on both arrrs, bracelet tattooed on left wrist, ring on middle flngar of left hand, blue eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 10 makes high, about 28 jears of age. fair hair, shaved all face except moustache which is fair; wore a black cap with peak, brown tweed cOat trowsers, and vest, checked bar in tweed, suit somewhat worn; is a labourer, and ser7ed in the Royal Horse Artillery. Warrant issued for his ftrrcsfi Newtownards, 18th Jan., 1893 ( 20402 c— 9100). Particulars relative to Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR, & c., c 254, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Summer Assizes, on the 14th July, 1888, for horse stealing and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 yearr' penal servitude:— 49 years of age on conviction, single, is a fowl dealer; born in Dublin; has no fixed place of residence; his friends reside in London; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, medium mouth, sallow com- plexion, round visasre, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high ; two sailors and two flags on left arm, faded tattooing baok of left hand; yacht and faded tattooing on right aTm, wrist, and back of hand. This man was released from Monntjoy Prison on licence, 6th December, 1892, and went to Belfast on tho 7th instant, ho reported that he was going to reside at Hudderefield, Yorkshire, bnt he has not reported himself at the latter plaoe, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. ( 526 H. C.) Description of PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dermotstown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of December, 1892, in the barony of Balrothery East, parish of Balscadden, attempted to commit rape:— Down- looking appearance, large tooth right side of upper jaw; thick nose, pale complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 18 johtb oi age, very fair hair 5 wore a gray tweed cap, ( rlc « coat, dark tweed trowsers, and tweed vast; is a labourer. Information required concerning THOMAS MARTIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with fcavinp, on the 21st December, 1892, in the THE POLICE GAZETTE, OR HUE- AND- CRY, MARCH 17, 1893. tarony of Magheraboy, parish of Inishmacsaint, ob- tained goods by fa'se pretences from James Earls, Slavin, Belleek. It is supposed tbat he has committed oiler similar offences. his " modus operandi" is to get into correspondence with poultry and game dealers, Ac., and obtain large consignments of goods, for which be cannot pay, being an undischarged bankrupt. lie is at ( recent undergoing a term of imprisonment in England for a similar offence ; is a commission agent Information sworn and Warrant issued. Murpby and Sons," for sale of butter, eggs & c., arrested and remanded in Enniskillen, en t/ e charge cf obtaining goods by falsa pretences. Description of PATRICK SULLIVAN ( mother's surname Naro Sullivan), native of Derrygarrive, who stands charged with having, on the night of tbe 27th February, 1893, in tbe barony of Glanerougb, parish of Kenmare, unlawfully assaulted Timothy Crcnni, and endangered bis life bv striking him cn tbe forehead with n stone, which inflicted a dangerous wound :— Blue e; es, regular msa, dark complexion, short round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of ago, dark hair, small dark moustache} wore a soft black jerry hat, dark tweel free1! ccat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son, Kenmere, 1st March, 1893. Description of PATRICK SHEA ( Mother's sur- name Sullivan), wbo stands charged with having, on the 3rd day of January, 1893, in the barony of Iveragh, parish of Prior, murdered John M'Carthy, of Lahorn South, by stabbing him with a knife, and seriously wounded Patrick M'Carthy his brother, of same place, by stabbing :— Believed to have old- cut mark on fore bead at root of hair, dark eyes, thick nose, fresh or sallow complexion, full face, stout make, 5 leet 9 inches high, about 22 j ears of age, dark hair; wore a slouched bat, black sack coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest. Description of MICHAEL READE, native of Kilmoganny, who stands charged with having, on the 8th June, 1892, in the barony of Municipal Borough, palish of St Mary's, stolen a silver Geneva watch from one James Blanchford. The watch was found on the accused when arrested, and he was bound by recognizance to appear at Thomastown Petty Sessions on 7th March, If 93, but failed to appear, and bas absconded:— Dark brown eyes, regular nose, pale ccmplexicn, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 61 inches high, atout 20 or 21 year) of age, derk hair, no board or whiskers; wore a tweed csp, tweed coat, light tweed trowsers and vest, is good looking and of respectable appearance; is a groom or stable boy. Description of LAURENCE ARCHER, native of Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, cn the 28th November, 1892, at Coolhill, in the barony of Ida, parish of Rower, attempted to murder his wife, by cutting her throat:— Shaves all the face, except small sandy side whiskers, may have the marks of a dog's teeth on one o! his hands; gray eyes, short pointed rose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 4 or 6 inches high, about 45 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed cap, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer and a woodranger. POWER ( embezzlement), not arrested, Hue- and- Cry, 6th September, 1892. ( 18068 c.— 4749.) Kildare. Description of MICHAEL FLYNN, alias " BLACK MICK," supposed native of Tipperary, N. R., wbo stands charged with having, on the 19th day of November, 18S2, in tbe barony of East Offally, parish of Ballysax, embezzled the sum of £ 1 3/. ( cl., the property of bis employer, Patrick Moran, Ballysax, ( curragh Camp:— Dirty appear- ance, large mouth, thick lips; dark eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair; wore a slouched hat, dark coat, corduroy trowsers, tnd gray tweed vest; is a labourer. Description of THOMAS DEIGNAN ( mother's surname Prior), native of Derinabiltymore, Ballira- more, and FRANCIS DEIGNAN, native of Carragh- nabonia, Ballinamore. who stand charged with having, on the 6th February, T893, in the barony of Carrigallen, parish of Oughterard, seriously assaulted William Cannon, by striking him on tbe bead with a spade, thereby endangering his life:— 1. Wants an upper front tootb, thick lips, high prominent moutb, shaves all tbe face, gray eyeB, regular nose, pale sallow complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 26 years of age, brown hair; wore a gray tweed cap, gray tweed sack coat, gray trawlers and vest; is a cooper. 2. Scar on right side of nock caused by the stab of a fork, bald on the top of head, large forehead, small gray ejes, regular ooje, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 29 years of age, light brown hair, small fair moustache; wore a brown tweed cap, dark tweed sack coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, wbo stands charged with having, on the 26th January, 1893, in the borough of Limerick, Swish of St. Michael's, stolen a mare, the property of john Rainsford, of Clonkeen, Barrington's Bridge Company, Limerick:— Red complexion, long thin face, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 26 years of age, foxy moustache; wore a cap and dark clothes; appeared like a tidy farmer's son. Description of JAMES M'PEAKE ( mother's surname M'Kenna), native of Ballymacpeake, who stands charged with having, on the 7th November, 1898, in tbe barcny of Loughinsholin, parish of Maghera, seriously assaulted and inflicted grievous bodily harm on one, Henry Mulholland, thereby placing his life in danger:— Very flat feet, knockneed; gray or blue eyes, slightly cocked nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 6 feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a black cap, dark tweed coat and trowsers. Description of MARY MOLONEY, native of county L: merick, who stands charge! with having, on the 28th January, 1893, at Ballyhane, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Upper, parish of Toem, stolen a purse bolonging to Alice Lloyd, ontaining one pound and ten shillings, also with obtaining goods by falsa pretences:— Prominent front taeth, slight space between them, lisps when speaking and generally laughs when spokan to; dark eyes; swarthy com- plexion : meliam make; 5 feet high ; about 35 years of age ; black hair, curly in front; wore an old black dross, old black shawl, laced boots, and wore a neck- lace with beads; tramp and servant girl.
