HEGtTLATIONS. ^ All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to bo transmitted under oover, addressed to the Inspecfcor- Goneral, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication, No Description oan be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn j but it is not necessary ; to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will bo inserted, All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant hag been issued, • and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person oharged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. * • Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it - will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake oannot bQ'rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, & c., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 6th March, 1893, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Kirkinriola, assaulted and attempted to stab with a knife Rose Gilmer, and threatened to murder her:— Very dary eyes regular cose, daik swarthy complexion, full face, stout nr. eke, 5 feet 6 inches high, about SO Jcars of f » fe, dark hair, no whiskers or beard, may ave a slight moustache; wore a black greasy cap, dark or black coat, dark trowsers and vest; trade cr occupation unknown} has the appcarance of an engine fitter, mechanic, or sailor on tramp. Description ot PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( mother's surname Jordan), has friends near Bellaghy, county Londonderry, native of Killy- garron, who stands charged with laving, on the night of lstji December, 1892, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Portglenone, fired three shots from a revolvtr at John Agnew, with intent to shoot him, and snapped said revolver at Daniel Agnew twice, with intent to shoot him:— Square shoulders, no beard or moustache, appears never to have shaved; blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 yeers of age, brown hair; wore a brown tweed coat, troweers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of JANE M'ENROE '( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22td day of February, 1893, in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, abandoned her infant child ( nnder 2 years), so as to endanger its life:— Sullen tpp^ arance; small suken eyes, slightly hooked rwe. sallow complexion long full fcce, stout make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, aboit 21 years of ape, black hair, with a monkey fringe; wore a blsck dress and jacket, with a flowered print jacket tnderneatb, a black hat, w'th some reddish flowers, and carried an umbrella; supposed to be a farmer's servant. Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native of Fatron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who Btands charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1893, in the barony of Loughtce Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks:— Gray eyes, short thick nose, sallow com- plex ior, thin face, stout active make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat, light tweei* trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Inscription of WILLIAM HEWITT, Junior ( Mother's surname M'Meikle), native of Drum- connick, Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 13th December, 1892, in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, stabbed one Moses Rourke with a penknife, and being bound by recognizance to appear at Cavan Petty Sessions on 19th Decem- ber, 1892, has absconded from his bail:— Prominent teeth, square shoulders, active appearance; dark eyes, slightly hooktd nose, dark complexion, regular face, slight make, 6 feet 1 inch high, about 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a black hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's sop. Description of RICHARD SWEENEY native of Mitchelstown, who stands cherged with having, on the 7th day of February, 1893, in the barony of Condons and Clongibbon, parish of Brigown, unlawfully absconded from the Mitchelstown Union Workhouse, taking with him a suit of clothes, the property of the Guardians :— Dark ejes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, round face, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 13 or 14 years of age, dark hair; wore a Glen- garry cap, pilot coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest. Particulars relative to Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR, < fcc., c 254, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Summer Assizes, on the 14th July, 1888, lor horse stealing and previous conviction, end sentenced to 5 ye arc' penal servitude:— 49 jeira of age on con ? iction, single, is a fowl dealer; born in Dublin; has no fixed place of residence « his friends reside in London; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, medium mouth, sallow com- plexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high ; two sailors and two flags on left arm, faded tattooing back of left hand; yacht and fa.' ed tattooing on right arm, wrist, and back of hand. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 6th December, 1893, and went to Belfast on the 7th instant, he reported that he was going to reside at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, bat he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he shonld be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. lit, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. ( 526 H. C.) Description of PATRICK SHEA ( Mother's sur- name Sullivan), wbo stands charged with having, on the 3rd dav of January, 1893, in the baroay of Ivaragh, parish of Prior, murdered John M'Carthy, of Lahorn South, by stabbing him with a knife, and seriously wounded Patrick M'Carthy his brother, of same placa, by stabbing;— Relieved to have old- cut mark on fore- head at root of hair, dark ejes, thick nose, fresh or sallow complexion, full tace, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 3 ears of age, dark hair; wore a slouched hat, black sack coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest He may have changed th ese clothes for a suit of black; is a former's son. Description of LAURENCE ARCHER, native of Kilkenny, who stands cherged with having, cn the 26th November, 1892, at coolhill, in the barony cf Ida, parish of Rower, attempted to murder his wi'e, by cutting her thioat i— Shaves all tbe face, except small randy side whiskers, may have the marks of a dog's ttetb on one ot his bands; gray tyes, short pointed 1 cse, fair complexion, thin taco. medium make, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 45 years of age, fair bair; viore a gray tweed cap, Cark tweed coat, trousers, and vest; is a fanner en 1 a woodranger. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, wbo stands charged with having, on the 26ih January, 18 « 3, in the borough of Limerick, parish of St. Michael's, stden a mare, the property of John Rainsford, of Clonkeen, Barringtoa's Bridge Company, Limerick:— Red complexion, loag thin face, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 26 5 ears of age, foxy moustache; wore a cap ard dark clothes; appoared like a tidy farmer's son.
