B « F All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Cistle, authenticated b// a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of tins nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. * * Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin CanfJe, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, Sic., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( mother's surname Jordan), has friends near Bellaghy, county Londonderry, native of Killy- garron, who stands charged with having, on the night - of 1st December, 1892, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Portglenone, fired tbree shots from « revolver at John Agnew, with intent to shoot him, and snapped said revolver at Daniel Agnew twioe, with intent to shoot him:— Square shoulders, no beard or moustache, appears never to have shaved; blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin lace, slight make, - 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 yesrs of age, brown hair; wore a brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of JANE M'ENROE ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged witti having, on the 22nd day of February, 1893, in the barony of Upper Longhtee, parish of Urney, abandoned her infant child ( under 2 years), EO as to endanger its life:— Sullen- appearance ; small suken • eyes, slightly hooked DOC e, sallow complexion long fnll ftce, stout make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, a bo at 21 years of age, black hair, with a monkey fringe; wore a black dres and jacket, with a flowered print jacket underneath, a black hat, with some reddish flowers, and carried an umbrella; supposed to be a farmer's servant. Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native of Fatron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1893, in the barony of Loughtee Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused' the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks:— Gray eyes, short thick nose, sallow com- plexion, tbin face, stout active make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat, light tweer5 trowsers and vest; is a labourer. Inscription of WILLIAM HEWITT, Junior ( mother's surname M'Meikle), native of Drnm- connick, Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 13th December, 1892, in the barony of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, stabbed one Moses Rourke with a penknife, and being bound by recognizance to appear at Cavan Petty Sessions on 19th Decem- ber, 1892, has absconded from his bail:— Prominent teeth, square shoulders, active appearance; dark eyes, slightly hooked nose, dark complexion, regular face, slight make, 6 feet 1 inch high, about 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a black bard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's SOB. Description of RICHARD SWEENEY native of Mitchelstown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of February, 1893, in the barony of Condons and Clongibbon, parish of Brigown, unlawfully absconded from the Mitchelstown Union Workhouse, taking with him a suit of clothes, the property of the Guardians :— Dark eyes, regular nose, dark com- plexion, round face, stout make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 13 or 14 years of age, dark hair; wore a Glen- garry cap, pilot coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest. TIMOTHY RIORDAN and JOHN DOODY ( conspiracy to murder), Hue- and- Cry of 29th March, not arrested. ( 96824 c.) Down. Description of ROBERT CREE ( mother's surname Campbell), native of Bangor, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 14th January, 1893. in the barony of Lower Castlereagh, parish of Bangor, feloniously and burglariously broken and entered the dwelling- house of Thomas Jamison, and stolen there- from tbe sum of £ 4 10*.:— Tattoo marks on both arrrs, bracelet tattooed on left wrist, ring on middle finger of left hand, blue eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inohee high, about 98 years of age, fair bair, shaved all face . xcept moustache which is fair; wore a black cap with peak, brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest,' checked bar in tweed, suit somewhat worn; is a labourer, and served in the Royal Horse Artillery. Warrant issued for his arrest. Newtownards, 18th Jan., 1893; ( 20402 c— 9100). Particulars relative to Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR, < fcc., o 254, convicted at Downpatriok, county Down, at the Summer Assizes, on the 14th July, 1888, for horse stealing and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 yearn' penal servitude:— 49 yesrs of age on conviction, single, is a fowl dealer; born in Dublin; has no fixed place of residence t his friends reside in London; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, medium mouth, sallow com- plexion, round visage, stout make. 5 feet 7 inches high ; two sailors and two flags on left arm, faded tattooing back of left hand; yacht and faded tattooing on right arm, wrist, and back of hand. This man. was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 6th December, 1892, and went to Belfast on the 7th instant, he reported that he was going to reside at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he shonld be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sea. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. ( 526 H. C.) Man giving the name of JAMES NELSON ( larceny of a coat), Hue- and- Cry, 23rd September, not arrested ( 18037 c.— 4696.) Dublin. Description of PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dermotstown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of December, 1892, in the barony of Balrothery East, parish of Balscadden, attempted to commit rape:— Down- looking appearance, large tooth right side of upper jaw; thick nose, pale complexion, broad face, stoat make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 18 fs& ra ol age, very fair hair; wore a gray tweed cap, fries a cast, dark tweed trowsors, and tweed vest; is a labcuror. Description of PATRICK SULLIVAN ( mother's surname Naro Sullivan), native of Derrygarrive, who stands charged with having, on the nieht of the 27th February, 18* 3, in the barony of Glanerougb, parish of Kenmare, unlawfully assaulted Timothy Cromni, arid endangered bis life bv striking him en the forehead with a stone, which inflicted a dangerous wound :— Blue eyes, regular nos., dark coasplexion, short round face, stoat m& fee, 5 feet 6 inches high, aboui 28 years of age, dark hair, small dark moustache; wore a eoft blsck jerry hut, dark tweel frcck coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of PATRICK SHEA ( Mother's sur- name Sullivan), who stands charged with having, on the 3rd day of ( annary, 1893, in the'baroay of Iveragh, parish of Prior, murdered ohn M'Carthy, of Lahorn South, by stabbing him with ar knife, and seriously wonnded Patrick M'Carthy his brother, of same place, by stabbing Believed to have old- cut mark on fore- head at root of hair, dark eyes, thiok nose, fresh or sallow comploxion, full face, stout make, 5 teat 9 inches high, about 22 > ears of ago, dark hair; wore a slouched hat, black sack coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest. POWER ( embezzlement), tot arrested, Rue- and- Cry, 6th September, 1892. ( 18068 c.— 4749.) Kildare. Description of MICHAEL FLYNN, alias " BLACK MICK." supposed native of Tipperary, N. R., who stands charged. with having, on the 19th day of November, - 1892, in the baraiy of East Offally, parish of Ballysax, embezzled the snari of £ 1 3*. ( d., the property of his employer, Patrick Meran, Ballysax, Curragh Camp:— Dirty appear- ance, large mouth, thick lips; dark eyes, regular nose, dark sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inche? high, about 40 years of age, dark bur; wore a slouched hat, dark coat, corduroy trowsers, and gray tweed vest; is a labourer. Wants an upper front " tooth, thick lips, high prominent mouth, shaves all the face, gray eyes, regular nose, pale sallow complexion, long face, medinm make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 26 years of age, brown hair; wore a gray tweed cap, gray tweed sack coat, gray trowsers and vest; is a coiper. 2. ( 167^ 0 38Q8;> limerick Description of a MAN, name and native place Unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 26th January, 1893, in the borough ofe Limerick, parish of St. Michael's, stolen a mare, the property of John Rainsford, of Clonkeen, Barrinpton's Bridge Company, Limerick:— Red conrpl- xion, Jong thin face, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 26 ) eirn of age, foxy moustache; wore a cap ard dark clot! es; appeared like a tidy farmer's son. Description of JAMES M'PEAKE ( mother's surname M'Kenna), native of Ballymacpeake, who stands charged with having, on the 7th November, in the barony of Loughinsholin, parish of Maghera, seriously assaulted and inflicted grievous bodily harm o; i ore, Henry Mulholland, thereby placing his life in danger:— Very flat feet, knooltneed ; gray or blue eyes, slightly cocked nose, fair com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 yeaTS of age, brown hair ; wore a black cap, dark tweed coat and trousers. Description of MARY MOLONEY, native of county Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 28th January, 1893, at Ballybane, in the barony of Kilnavanagh Upper, parish of Toem, stolen a purse bolonging to Alice Lloyd containing one pound and ten shillings, also with obtaining goods by fals3 pretences:— Prominent front toetb, slight, space between them, lisps when speaking and generally laughs when spoksn to; dark eyes; swsrthv com- plexion : medium make ; 5 feet high ) about 85 years of age; black hair,' curly in front; wore an old black dress, old black shawl, laced bx> ts, and wore a neck- lace with beads; tramp and servant girl. BRADFORD, alias WILLIAM HUTTON, is in Omagh Gaol on remand to Baliygawley Petty Sessions on 21st inst, charged with obtaining a gold watch and a bicycle by false pretences:— Gray- blue eyes, regular ncso fair com- plexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, 25 years of age; has been a farm labourer and shoij assistant.
